I bought this velvet midi skirt in a size 12 and really love the look and feel of it — the fabric is gorgeous and the fit is great. However, the thick elastic waistband is a bit of a let-down. It twists easily and never seems to lie flat, which makes it quite uncomfortable and a bit annoying to wear. Such a shame, as the rest of the skirt is lovely

I haven't had an opportunity to wear it yet, I'll be wearing it over Christmas. I love it. Although it's a midi skirt, only being 5' 3" it's an ideal length for me, as I prefer to wear my skirts longer. The colour is beautiful. It was a very good price as well, especially as it was discounted by 20%!

I am a bit disappointed with the elasticated waistband as it twisted after trying it on twice and it now has a lump in the eladtic which I can’t seem to smooth out
