United State™ Balancing Tonic 150ml

I have to admit I'm not certain what to say about this one. My skin is combination - I get oily patches on my chin and between my eyebrows, occasional drying around the edges of my face. This toner has helped both areas and has kept my skin quite clear, but as a couple of others have said it is rather harsh; areas of my skin sting when I apply it. The stinging sensation fades quickly but is unpleasant. I guess it'll vary from person to person. I'd recommend it on the whole, but be aware that your skin might not take to it.

I use United State toner after checks and balances frothy face wash. Together they keep my oily skin in check and prevent breakouts to which I am prone. I then just have to make sure any moisturisers I use are oil free. Of course I avoid using it occasionally on areas of dry/irritated skin which rarely happens to me.

I usually use Zero Oil but I had run out and as it was temporarily unavailable I tried this instead as it looked the closest match. I don't usually write reviews but wanted to warn people!! This product is so harsh on your skin. Mine is not particularly sensitive but United State has stripped it completely, and caused it to become dry and to break out into painful spots. I've stopped using this product and the irritation is dying down already. I have used various skin care brands and would go as far as to say that this is the harshest thing that I've ever used.

Works great for my skin type - combination of dry and oily. Leaves my skin feeling fresh but not dry.

This toner definitely lives up to its claims and smells great too. It's not harsh or drying yet feels really refreshing, like its doing its job properly. I like its catchy title too!

Tonic is great. Not only it's cleansing, it also balances out the skin for me. Not drying, very pleasant refreshing feeling after using it. Cannot say anything bad about it.

I was recommended this product and read all the reviews, therefore thought, why not try it as I was looking for an alternative to the products I was using at the time as they were bringing me out in rashes. Well, the 1st week of using this, my skin was awful, I had massive painful spots all over my face. I stopped using it and they calmed down and disappeared. I was recommend this along side Check and Balance cleanser. When I stopped using the toner, I continued to use this to see if it was the cleanser causing the problem and it definitely wasn't. I had purchased the travel cleanser to see how I got on with it, I just wish I could have done this with the toner as this is now £18.50 completely wasted. I am sure this works for some people, but this most certainly didn't work for me. I was told it would balance my skin and stop dryness, but this completely dried out my skin and I had more dry spots than ever before.

The toner is best for those of us with difficult skin that is dry in some areas and oily in others. It works to balance out the different skin types and helps make skin feel clean and calm. Try it and you will not be disappointed. .

Wow, I love this product. Face has cleared up in a week, pores minimised, fine lines smoother, dry cheeks smoother and redness toned down. Tried it with a clarins cleanser but can't wait to try an origins cleanser!!

I love this stuff. I used to get dry skin on my forehead, especially if I just got out of the shower and went to dry by hair. My forehead would get all itchy. Now, I put this hydrating lotion on after my cleanser and it cools my skin so much. If I don't use it, I find my skin goes dry. Highly recommended, especially for dry skin.

This is the perfect partner to Origins - Checks & Balances cleanser. A tiny amount used after cleansing makes skin feel extra clean and fresh. Smells great and helps keep my skin super clear! It makes your skin feel clean & tight but not too harsh like some cheaper alternatives. Highly recommended!

My skin becomes fresher and tighter. I have been using this tonic for 4 months and my pores have reduced and had no breakouts ever since. Excellent!

I've not used toner in a long time after I decided that they were mostly expensive water, adding time to my morning routine and wasting my money. However I do have problems with combination skin and I decided it couldn't hurt to give this a go. I can't speak for other toners but this one definitely works - it smells good, feels tingly but doesn't dry out your skin & helps serum and moisturiser soak in. I now can't imagine not using this after washing my face (I use Checks and Balances from Origins and feel they work well together).
