This cake is beautiful, looked stunning on a cake stand and even better when sliced, as the pink and yellow layers showed then. It’s a really tall cake so you only need a thin slice to hit the spot. It’s delicious, so soft and every bite was yummy!

Bought this for my mum’s birthday with the intention of adding decoration as she didn’t want a cake with her age on! The cake looked quite small when I first opened the box, but it was tall, so easily split into 16 good slices. The sponge cake was layered in white and pink stripes and was light and moist. However, I have given this 3 stars as the butter cream icing was strawberry flavoured and there was quite a lot of it both inside and on the outside of the cake. With the addition of the jam, the cake was too sweet for me and I wasn’t left hoping for a second piece. It was nice, it did its job and it was pretty to look at. Great in small pieces. Would recommend if you have a sweet tooth and love strawberry buttercream.
