It has been tried and tested in our horrific Devon weather for sure! Husband needed an “in between” coat which was warm and insulated but not too big and bulky, like a dry robe, and something more than his showerproof jacket which isn’t warm enough. This coat serves that purpose fully. He’s impressed with the quality and he loves all the pockets. The hood fits snuggly over his cap which he says is a definite bonus!

Lightweight, warm, comfortable and waterproof. Really pleased, especially for the price. Walked dog for an hour in +2 degrees in quite heavy rain with just a t-shirt and very thin lightweight fleece underneath and I stayed at a constant, normal temperature (as if sat at home comfortably watching telly) and completely dry. It's not at all bulky and the inside material is pleasant to wear over a t-shirt (bare arms). This, for me at least, makes it a really versatile and reliable everyday jacket for spring, autumn and winter wear. With a fleece underneath I think it will cope admirably throughout the UK winter for general use, dog walking etc. It appears well made, suitable for general outdoor use. I don't think its designed for more extreme use.
