Accessible?Not Quite –Design considerations needed

No, I don't recommend this
I recently tried this serum sunblock and while the formula has its strengths, there are several issues that seriously affect the overall experience. What I didn’t like: The packaging was a major drawback. The text on the bottle is extremely difficult to read due to poor colour contrast. While the design might seem cute, it’s not accessible—people with any degree of visual impairment would struggle to read the instructions. Inclusivity should be a key consideration in product design, and unfortunately, this one misses the mark. The pipette design was frustrating. It worked initially, but after a few uses it became difficult to draw out any product. I had to tip the bottle upside down and tap it to get the serum out. This isn’t just inconvenient—it’s wasteful. As the product is in a glass bottle, there’s no way to access the remaining contents once it runs low. A plastic tube would have been better, as it can be cut open to allow full use of the product before recycling. The serum also leaves a noticeable white cast, making it unsuitable for those with darker skin tones. While I didn’t wear makeup over it initially and found reapplication during the day worked well, makeup didn’t sit nicely on top of this serum—it tended to go patchy and uneven. What I liked: The serum itself has a lovely texture. It applies smoothly, feels moisturising, and gives a subtle glow. It was gentle enough to use around my eyes without any irritation, and it didn’t clog my pores. I can’t scientifically assess the sun protection, but I did notice that areas where I applied the serum didn’t tan as quickly as areas I left uncovered. That suggests a certain level of effectiveness. Reapplication during the day felt fine when I wasn’t wearing makeup. In summary, the formula itself is strong, but poor packaging, a white cast, and lack of inclusivity in the design hold this product back.

Really nice

I've been using this for a few weeks now and it's great! Feels really nice to apply, and it's a great have on underneath makeup - really helps to give me a clearer complexion as well.

Good protection but too oily

Giving this 3 stars because it provides great sun protection however on me anyway it's incredibly oily and slick. It does leave a white cast but it's not the worst one ever. The pipette provided on the tube is also pretty pointless as the product is too thick to be pulled up and I have to batter the product out on the back of my hand.

Great product, bad nozzle head!

Whilst I absolutely love the thin consistency of this serum and the fact it doesn't leave a white cast I have to only give it a 4 stars, as it is impossible to get the product out of the bottle. The nozzle does not suck up any of the product whatsoever and I find that I have to pour it out onto my hand from the bottle. Hello Sunday please please please can you change the nozzle of this product!!!

Great option for deeper skin tones

For reference I’m a Fitzpatrick 6. I use 1 pipette full (1/2 suggested amount) with 1 finger of mineral sunscreen (1/2 recommended amount) to get full factor 50 coverage. Mineral sunscreens do have a white tint as they are white pigments but going it this way I do not get a white cast. I have told all my black friends about this as white cast is our regular struggle. This has saved me so much time with not having to apply makeup to make a mineral sunscreen work for me.

So hydrating! Makes my skin feel great! Soaks into my face readily, not at all oily. Leaves my face feeling refreshed.

Perfection for sensitive rosacea skin
Originally posted on Hello Sunday
Yes, I recommend this
This is perfect for easily dehydrated, sensitive rosacea-prone skin that reacts to most chemical sunscreens. It's very emollient, which is not pleasant at first, but dries to a nice satin finish. Minimal white cast. I'm also acne prone, and this caused no breakouts. I'm not a fan of the dropper, but was able to get the required amount of SPF out with the aid of the brands insta videos. Not taking a star off because I love the formula so much, but would prefer a pump package anyway. (That, as well as 50ml of product - pretty please!)

Great for sun blocking but leaves a white cast

I’m an avid user of hellosunday products but I thought I would look at a mineral sunscreen as I have heard they are a healthier choice. Unfortunately this one did not suit my skin. I have a pale, dry, mature skin and this was far too drying for me and left a white cast. I will go back to my serum spf50 which is a great match for my skin.
