I bought this to send ahead to close friends we were going to by train to spend the weekend (I really recommend this - so much easier than lugging a heavy gift. I've done this with the large fruit baskets as well, and they're always appreciated). The drink itself, which they gave us to try at dinner, has a thin mouth-feel and tastes like a slightly upmarket fizzy cordial, nothing like prosecco or anything similar, but to be honest, my non-drinking friends don't know any different and they enjoyed the ceremony of opening the bottle and sharing it. The package is beautifully presented, and the chocolates are fancy and delicious. I would recommend this as a gift for anyone who isn't drinking alcohol but you want them to feel included in a celebration.

No, I don't recommend this
This gift did not go down well. I failed to realise that it was non alcoholic as it was not stated in the title and at £30 I wouldn't have expected it to be. My mother is now accusing me of thinking that she is an alcoholic because i sent her this gift. Maybe I hit a nerve, I'm not sure a sane person would cone to this conclusion but then most mothers would just be grateful to receive the gift and point out the mistake in a more pleasant manner.

Was so disappointing for the gift recipient to open it and it be back to front in the box so the first thing they saw was ZERO ALCOHOL. At Christmas, bought from the alcohol and chocolates gift section on the website. Like what? Im sober and I would have drunk it but it wasn't for me. Why was it not clear? Why did I pay all that for a sparkling bottle of wine and it's just fizzy water. Total waste of money. Made it look all nice in the packaging.

Thought it would be a nice gift
Brought as a gist. I missed one very important detail when ordering on my phone, ´0.0%´ alcohol free :( had to go into the shop buy another bottle to add to it and add an explanation. Hopefully my friend will see the funny side. Not happy myself to battle town centre between Xmas and new year.
