The Aire Shirt

the fabric is a little stiff however I don't mind that and had ordered online, but when I tried the blouse on the fit is really weird, It comes up overall a bit on the small side esp across the chest, but the arms also seemed tight which was weird (might be as no stretch to the fabric?) it was also big at the waist, so I couldn't get a size that would fit *just right*

When I unwrapped the shirt it smelt revolting - a sort of industrial metal smell, there is no way you would want to put this near your skin and certainly not wear it out! My first instinct was to wash it, but of course now I can't return it. Maybe you should hang it in the fresh air for quite a while to get rid of the smell. The fit is terrible - why do M&S always think women are as wide as they are tall? The fit over the shoulders was OK but if you have any sort of waist it is so baggy it looks like an old fashioned maternity blouse, definitely need to get the sewing machine out to sew darts. The material does not soften with washing so looks a bit like you have made a shirt out of stiff metallic wrapping paper. The shirt looks silver in some electric lights but in daylight can look almost gold at times or quite a dull 'brillo pad' steel grey. It is a bit short in length with a cheap looking machined hem. Disappointed :-(

Love this shirt. It is different than anything else around and I went to the Marble Arch store to try and buy several pieces from the Alexa range this included. Perfect for the festive season this shirt did not disappoint. I love th metallic effect the embroidery on the collar and the black ribbon tie finishes the look. I also love the gentle ruching on the shoulders as this gives the shirt a lovely shape across the front. I think this is more of a dressing up shirt as the material does not lend itself for all day wear been a little stiff. However this does not take away from it's glamour and I really felt glamorous wearing this with skinny black jeans, black ankle boots a sparkly cami and left the shirt open like a jacket. Loads of compliments! If you want something different and a bit of glamour go and get this shirt. At just under £40 it is great value for money.

Ordered online as this Blouse looked so lovely - However the fabric, in my opinion is very disappointing, uncomfortable next to the body as it feels cheap . Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

This shirt reminds me of something I wore as a teenager in the early 1990s, which I loved. But the quality of this is terrible. M&S bring back your St Michael made in the UK brand where quality rules.

This was one of the standout pieces from the second Alexa collection and I was so excited to get it... However, the fit is too snug to be comfortable and the fabric is IMPOSSIBLE, it is scratchy, sweaty and uncomfortable. Coupled with the snug fit, it went straight back I'd like to know how this shirt got past M&S's quality control as it could have been so great and a best seller. Such a shame, because I'm really rooting for M&S to be successful.

The styling and detail of this blouse are beautiful, but the fabric is a bit too stiff and uncomfortable. The sleeves are quite tight fitting and when I wore it for work it was quite restrictive and hurt under the arms after a full day. The collar is a bit scratchy/irritating on the neck. It looks lovely under dresses/pinafores and with skirts for a smart daytime look. I will definitely wear it over the Christmas party season and on days off but too uncomfortable for work.

This could have been a lovely blouse as everything about it is lovely. However the fabric lets it down. It doesn't hang well, the fabric drags across chest and shoulders when stretching arms and there is a lot of puckering in the sewing and to top that, it creases easily! As I have mentioned, I'm sure a decent fabric would have made it a best seller. Cannot recommend.

Ordered online as this Silver Blouse looked so nice - However the fabric, in my opinion is very very disappointing, uncomfortable next to the body as it feels cheap - kind of like wearing a Blouse made of tinfoil.

Was bought this as a gift, but unfortunately it has gone straight back as the material was stiff, uncomfortable and cheap looking. Such a shame as the style is great and the fit was good too.

I love the shirt! it's exactly haw I imagined it. The only little defect is the material, a bit poor. But the price was right for the object! good job Alexa! it's gonna be a must have piece for the winter
