Tweed Overcoat

This coat is poor fitting and borderline poor quality compared to other M&S coats I have and I have quite a few. Difficult to find the perfect size, my actual size seems big in this coat. had to go one size down and it still doesn’t fit right- still appears oversize at the shoulder and arms. The style is good and can’t fault M&S on style. I should have gone two sizes down to find the perfect size in this coat. Quality- looks cheap in appearance

Great looking coat and comfortable to wear. It is shorter in length than traditional coats but good style. For wearing in more relaxed/casual situations rather than formal I felt. Non the less really liked it. Great pockets and light weight. I purchased online together with another type of coat and liked both but couldn't justify keeping both. Decided to return this one and keep the other which I felt would be more suitable for various situations.

I had been looking to replace an M&S wool jacket that is now about 6 years old. For over 18 months I have tried to find a casual but smartish jacket rather than a coat type jacket. Up to now have been unsuccessful - not just at M&S. Went into M&S recently and liked the tweed coat. Tried it on and my wife really liked it as well. Problem I needed a large so had to order online. Only the tweed grey colour in shop but a blue one also on line. Ordered both and couldn’t decide which one to keep so kept both as they are classic and will age ok. Excellent buy

This beautiful coat caught my eye in store. The herringbone material is classic and the cut of the coat is modern. It was also very well priced but alas when I tried on my normal Large size it was slightly too tight, probably due to the tailored fit. As there was no XL size in stock I ordered one online. It duly arrived but was too loose and baggy by far. The difference in the fit from L to XL is to say the least extreme. I received a full refund in another store which had the full size range in stock and came away with the Large size anyway and also the incentive to lose a couple of pounds.

Liked the look when I saw it in store, but as a big guy I always have to send away for largest size. However the 4XL is way too small if you are more than a 52/54 inch chest. Fiddly buttons I could have lived with. Why are there never 4XL in store to try on. Went to another retailer where a 4XL is a 60/62 inch chest - super fit with room to spare.

I've been looking for some time for what I would call a car coat and this fits the bill admirably. The sleeves are a bit long but for winter wear that's probably no bad thing. It feels good and looks good and I can get into trouser pockets and jacket pockets underneath easily without having to unbutton it.

I went in store and tried on the Single Breasted Longline Overcoat first. It looked good but the pockets were sewn up and in the wrong positions. Then I tried this one on which is the same price and the blue mix looks the best. The pockets are perfectly angled so it can look good open or buttoned up. It is an excellent coat for under £100 and I am very pleased with the purchase my lady friend has made for me as my Christmas present.

Excellent for more formal occasions and as a winter 'warmer'. Bought as Xmas present but may not keep a secret for much longer !!

Looks good, fits good - I chose the long fitting at 6’2” tall. This was great for me. Seems to keep me warm when out while not cramping movement.

This is an excellent quality overcoat however the fit is poor. Very broad chest and waist and fair shoulder fit. I wouldn't recommend it.

Smart, well fitting & does the job. Only down point is the fiddly buttons
