These New Balance trainers are made for comfort on the go. They have a breathable mesh upper and a secure lace-up fastening. Rubbish colour ways.

If only the colours were nice. I have owned various NB trail running shoes which were amazing and would love to buy a pair of Tektrels. My wife has some - for women there are really nice colour ways. For men (all trail running shoes) it’s either dull grey black or various weird lime green or what would have been a lovely colour spoiled by some crazy orange sole (Hierro). NB - please do something organic feeling, nice beige/mustard/sage green/mint/ecru etc (not lime) … just like the many lovely options that women get. The women’s Tektrel is lovely, but ain’t a size 9. If ya don’t ask, ya don’t get!

Quality Control

The shoes look awesome but, there is definitely a quality control issue going on. I normally wear a 10.5 2E, these are not made correctly, way too small, maybe better in 11 4E ? Read other reviews mentioning this, I have them in shoe stretchers, hope they don’t tear apart. Wearing New Balance over 30 years, what happened to the quality ?

I ordered the 11.5 Wide and I know that they are but they fit like a regular 11.5. They are tight and a little small. I hope they stretch out

beautiful shoe. jaw dropped, materials felt plush and durable. then I tried it on. What in the narrow toe box NB? noooooo.... Gorgeous shoe, misleading description on fit for a trail runner. tread on outsole felt nice. unfortunately returned.

Men Sz.12 - I like these low top shoes for trails traction, but I had to swap out the soles, which was quick. i think I’d rather have gone with a more expensive shoe that already comes standard with better arch and cushion.

Very uncomfortable on downslopes

I always buy New Balance trail shoes. I hike every morning with my dog. These are easily the most uncomfortable trail shoes I've ever owned. There is so much support in the heel, that on downslopes, it slides your feet forward and my toes feel crushed against the front of the shoe. I thought it might get better after breaking them in for a month. It did not. Uncomfortable and frustrating.
