For years I've been on the lookout for American style comforters in the UK so I was so pleased to find these. I bought two single marl blue 10.5 duvets and they're fantastic! Wash well. Single fit easily in our 11kg machine. Hung it on the line and not a crease in sight. We have a young autistic son who used to somehow end up inside the duvet cover and get twisted up in it but not any more. Only single available when I bought but would love bigger ones for my adult son with special needs. His social worker said these would be great for lots of her clients because most can't independently make their beds because they struggle with traditional duvet covers. Please get more in stock and expand the range. There is definitely a market for them!

Very nice looking duvet but I found it uncomfortable in use because the edging seam stitching is very sharp. May improve with washing but in the meantime better with a duvet cover, thus defeating the purpose of buying a printed duvet!

I bought this for my son in a single bed, he thinks it’s great, warm and cosy. I think it looks like someone couldn’t be bothered to put a cover on it as it just looks like an uncovered duvet, it’s not at all attractive.

It’s brilliant him and myself have a double size on our super king bed. It’s so light warm and cosy. I have no trouble fitting it into a 7k washing machine it dries very quickly on the line and I have aired it off in the tumble dryer several times. It’s been washed at least 10 times and is still as new.

The blue duvet is a darker shade of blue than shown on the website but the comfort of the duvet soon made me forget about that. It feels very light but is nice and warm. I would like to see it available in more colours/patterns and also an extra-warm one for winter. I will definitely be buying more.

I bought this to use on the sofa bed in my Airbnb and it is ideal for that purpose. However, be aware that on the care label it states that it cannot be dried in a washer/dryer. I have no idea why and that is a pain for me because that's exactly what I have and I also need to turn this around quickly for the next guest. Makes life a little difficult.

I am disabled and changing a duvet cover is one of the things I find really hard, so a washable coverless duvet is a great idea for me. I bought the 10.5 tog in the double size. Nowhere on the website does it say you need a large capacity washing machine to be able to wash this duvet. I did not find this out until after I had opened the packaging, and since this is a non-returnable item this is something customers need to know BEFORE deciding to buy! Also it cannot be tumble-dried in a washer-dryer - again something customers need to know before buying. Other than that it is a great product - very lightweight and seems to be very warm.

What a genius idea. Why has no-one thought of these before? I bought a10.5 tog grey quilt for the guest bed and was so impressed with the feel of it and the quality that I bought another one for my own bed. The quilt has a silky feel to the top layers, is crease resistant and is extremely light. The bed looks very tidy with this quilt and there is no ironing involved, which is a massive bonus as far as I’m concerned. I feel that my days of struggling to change a quilt cover are over. The 10.5 might become too warm in summer and I am checking M and S website for more of the 4 tog stock. Come on M and S - these have obviously sold like hot cakes so you need to get more in the oven right now. More colour choices would also be nice but I can live with the grey, it is quite pale and would match most colour schemes. Just one caveat - I haven’t washed either yet so I can’t review how well they wash and dry, but I was encouraged by other reviews which said they washed well and dried quickly. Love it.

I got these as a present. To look at the duvet is lovely. But had to return it twice as all the stitch holding the duvet was coming off. Pity Marks and Spencer doesn’t do a better quality, preferably cotton one. It’s perfect for kids. Also doesn’t fit in the machine. ☹️

washable printed quilts

The washable printed quilts do what they say on the box, they are lightweight (I have 10.5 tog) and snug but beware you need washing machine & tumble dryer with good capacity to accommodate double quilt. Only drawback is lack of choice of prints but I can live with that if I never again have to change a quilt cover - well done M & S for creating them.
