Suede Collarless Jacket

I’ve been looking for a suede jacket but it’s been quite a challenge. I didn’t want a cropped style (ubiquitous), and I wanted a soft, lined suede. I was pretty unsure about this one as I didn’t think I wanted a collarless jacket but I took the plunge. It’s lovely - great length, good fit on the shoulders, a gorgeous shade and perfect soft suede. I went for a 14 (my usual size) and it fits perfectly. The style looks especially good with a shirt underneath. I didn’t really like the look of the pockets in the photos but they look better in the flesh.

The leather is good quality and very soft. Colour is a paler shade of camel but compatible with many base colours. I’m glad it was without buttons because it’s too light to wear as a winter option so the weight and collarless style lend themselves to cooler afternoons or evenings. It’s quite versatile as it could be dressed up over smart casual trousers and a nice blouse or dressed down over jeans and a t shirt. I’m usually a 16 so it’s good I took previous reviews on board and sized down to 14 as it would have bagged out too much at the back and shoulders otherwise. At first I considered it pricey but having compared it to others on the market I think for the quality and tailoring it was fair.

This jacket is of excellent quality in both cut and cloth. It comes up a little large - I'm between sizes and bought the smaller. At 5ft 2" it is not too long but would fit taller easily.
