Sorry, this item is no longer available
Our small smokehouse on the shores of Speybay has over 100 years of expertise. Our master smoker has perfected a gentle smoke to complement our unique Scottish salmon. The salmon is salted and carefully smoked to perfect the buttery texture, before a further smoke over smouldering Speyside whisky cask shavings, in a traditional brick kiln, delivers a light, delicate flavour. From Thursday 1 October, our Food to Order service will move to Ocado! From perfect party platters to delicious groceries, get set to have all your M&S favourites delivered direct to your doorstep.

Poor for a premium smoked salmon
No, I don't recommend this
After paying a lot for this we had our usual brunch of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat the salmon, it tasted way oversmoked and the pieces were inconsistent in thickness and texture with some being chewy as though it was from poor quality farmed smoked salmon. I checked the packet as I was surprised given both the price and the impression the packaging gave of a fish from lochmuir. What I realised was that lochmuir doesn’t exist and is a brand name for marketing purposes only and that this salmon is sourced from different farms, which I suppose explains the variation in texture. I won’t be buying this again.
