Stiff drawers
The drawers are very stiff to pull out, you have to yank them. It's almost like something is catching somewhere. They also don't soft close like they should, you have to physically push them back in. I bought the tall 5-drawer chest a couple of years ago and the drawers in that are perfect, so the quality seems to have deteriorated. Disappointed.

Sonoma bedside cabinet
A well known furniture range, which we recently added to. Positives: solid wood (mainly), soft closing drawers. Reduced price in the sale. Negatives: wood was split and scrapped on a rear corner. M&S were quick to offer a further discount or replacement. The range of furniture is quite expensive so I would have expected better quality control.

I bought this 3 drawer cabinet for my living room to place beside a sofa. Although it's a bedside cabinet I think it is suitable for any room. I have other pieces of Sonoma furniture and love the colour, quality and finish, which is why I had no hesitation in purchasing this piece. I made my purchase when there was a 20% discount so it made it excellent value for money.

The bedside table was bought to match my bed. Lovely but the drawers are quite difficult to open. Unsure why? They close nicely but zi feel something is not quite right.

Bought one of these when the bed was against a wall many (10 - 15?) years ago. Decided to buy another now I have moved the bed. It’s approximately 1.5 cm shorter than the other. I know this is tiny, but I could notice it hence I measured the height. Husband can’t tell, and I’m sure people would only notice if it was pointed out, but a bit of a shame that it’s obvious to me.
