Bought these for a formal night out and while they fit ok and actually look quite nice I was somewhat disappointed that the material feels quite thin hence why they are described as lightweight also they came with tram lines in the pressing of them

I have bought many pairs of these slim fit chinos for my husband, for the simple reason that they always look good, are easily washed with a quick iron, and the lightweight version is perfect for the hot summer heat when you need to look a little more formal. Colour range is super and also like the more heavyweight version for in-between seasons. Please do not change this range M&S because we get so fed up after finding something really good, it then gets changed for what we view as an inferior product. And please do not change the manufacturer - we don't mind if it means the price goes up a little!

Ordered two pairs, petrol blue and sand, both in 34/31.The waist size was much smaller in one pair (sand) than the other. The legs were cut very small in both. You would have to have thin rather than slim legs for these to fit comfortably.

Fit needs attention
Nice lightweight material waist/leg sizes good and they are slim fit in the legs, which is good. However they still have the old M&S baggy fit at the front and sides of the hips. They’d be great it if M&S got away from the ‘old man’ fit altogether, not just half way. Let slim fit be slim fit, and regular fit be regular fit.

Here’s where my life is currently at. Turn 60 Monday and I’ve just written a review for an iron. To be fair it’s the best iron I’ve ever had so warranted a 5*. Anyway, these chinos. My goodness me.
