Side Split Long Sleeve Shirt

I actually thought M&S had returned to producing classic style shirts - until I tried it on. What a ridiculous style, with such deep side slits that they actually reveal midriff flesh (not a good look!), What's happening M&S, I seem to constantly have to return things these days.

Beautiful fabric and lovely fit. However for me not wearable as a blouse tucked in or out the side splits are cut far to high. Unfortunately I couldn't return I had taken the label off before I realised otherwise would have returned immediately.

Lovely the style was just what I was looking for.

This is described as a side split - it is in fact an odd style which when you move your arms opens to reveal flesh above your waist. Also, in the ivory, although the fabric feels very luxurious it is very thin so you would have to wear a camisole under it so you can't see your bra, which rather defeats the object. All in all very disappointing and both the ivory and gold were returned.

I saw this at the local shop and immediately ordered my size as it wasn't available in the shop. Quick delivery to store and I was having high hopes for the blouse because I absolutely loved the colour. Alas yet another blouse with too long sleeves. M&S it seems you are getting the sizing wrong more often than you get it right. Sadly it went back. Now I'm more likely to buy clothes online from Debenhams because their sizing is consistent and I don't have to return so many. Very disappointed.

I'm a petite size 8 and bought this blouse in grape. It hangs beautifully and the material is beautifully soft. I personally like the drape though some other reviewers have said it's like a maternity blouse. It didn't feel that way to me and I've had two (massive) babies! It sits well on the shoulders and has a very elegant feel to it. The only downside is that the sleeves are long but this is easily mitigated by shirt arm bands or just hoisting up the cuffs which I'm used to anyway.

This blouse looked lovely on the hanger. It was beautiful quality and the colour was really nice. Unfortunately when I tried it on the shape was awful!! Looked ok from the back but the front was short and very baggy and loose. Looked awful on me and so I have to return it. When will M&s s realise that not everyone likes short and wide clothing . We want good classic fit and excellent quality items.. Short and wide is great on slim young girls but that isn't really their target audience. Most disappointing.

I bought two colourways the gold and the grape in the same size (22) the gold looks fabulous and fits perfectly the grape is huge and drowns me although fits me on the arms and as other reviews says looks like a maternity shirt. Such a shame the quality is excellent and they look more expensive than they are. M & S should really try and get the sizing's and continuity right - I had to return the grape shirt and I feel if I ordered a smaller size it would not fit in other areas.

Bought this in grape. The colour is lovely and the shirt looked great on a hanger but reminded me of a maternity top when I tried it on. The side spits are quite long with overlapping material which gave the impression of allowing for an expanding tummy. If the front had been longer I don't think this would have been a problem but it was noticeably shorter than the back. Sadly returned.
