This was my 2nd (October) order for these plates, the first order was in early September and both orders arrived and have been used since. These are replacements for Maxim crockery which I have used for many years. The new plates are already showing signs of wear to the glaze after being put through the dish washer only a few times.

4 years ago I bought the Maxim Flare dinner service. I’ve since had to replace some dinner plates, not able to match as the original is discontinued. Now had to replace some again, which don’t match either. Still all Maxim but as they’re all white, they look fine.

These maxim plates have changed 3 times in quality and size. The quality isn’t as good as they were few years ago. They are now heavier and 2 milimeter smaller in diameter.

We have been using Maxim china from M&S for very many years. Over time, through daily use, our dinner plates started to look less than pristine. We were therefore delighted to find that M&S still produce Maxim china and we were able to replace our dinner plates with the same product.They are the perfect diameter to fit in our cupboard and they match the existing crockery.

Most of these have a lump in the centre of the plate but one has a small dink in the rim. They appear frankly, to be seconds. I do not have the bandwidth to package them up and return them, so am keeping. They are useable for everday wear. I would not use them for anything grand however.
