I had previously bought some plates from another store. I obviously did not read up about them not being suitable for the oven! I bought these from M&S as they are suitable to go in the oven. I have tried and tested and they do. They wash well too.

Sorry ….but I am a little disappointed with the quality of these plates. We had twelve already and wanted to use these for Christmas but they were very badly scratched. I ended up buying another twelve as we didn’t have time to look at other makes……plus we already had the smaller plates, bowls and dishes. They look lovely when new but seem to deteriorate quite quickly . Nice size though and not too heavy.

Concerns over wear

This was my 2nd (October) order for these plates, the first order was in early September and both orders arrived and have been used since. These are replacements for Maxim crockery which I have used for many years. The new plates are already showing signs of wear to the glaze after being put through the dish washer only a few times.
