The mesh netting at the front top of shoes always wears out after 6 months and a small tear/hole developes. This has happened on all 4 pairs of these shoes I bought over the years. I love the comfort so much, that I accept this flaw.

I bought these as a gift for my elderly father. He has had the Parson-Dewitt gray shoe for the past 2+ years and wears them non-stop. We love the Goodyear tread on the bottom for his safety and he loves the comfortable fit and how easily the shoe goes on and off. The Respected-Elgin is much dressier in appearance and will be great for church and other more formal events. Putting the shoes on for the first time, they seemed to fit a little tighter than his gray ones, but he still wore them all day. I'm sure they'll stretch a bit with use. Overall, a great shoe option that is stylish, comfortable, and SAFE.
