I have been using the Pixi Glow tonic now for many years but found it a little harsh at times and as I wanted to add a retinol to my routine, i thought i'd give the retinol tonic a go. For the last few weeks, i feel my skin looks a little clearer, fine lines reduced but without the harsh drying effect of the Glow Tonic.

I've always been nervous of retinol as so many people seem to have severe reactions to it and end up with dry flaky skin. A friend of mine got me a bottle of this Pixi retinol and I absolutely love it! I started out using it once per week as I was so worried it would leave my skin looking dry... after a month or so I upped the usage and now I use it a few times per week (I alternate between this and a lactic or glycolic acid) This leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and I think I can see a difference in the colouration of my minor acne scars

I normally use Glow Tonic but I'd heard the hype around Retinal so thought I'd swap. Unfortunately on my sensitive skin it has irritated the area around my nose causing a break out. I don't believe it's a bad product but just not for me so I'll shall be going back to Glow Tonic.

I tried this as I love the pixi glow tonic however I think I will be switching to this product as it is great for every day use and my skin looks super healthy and glowing. I think it is a better alternative for younger skin as the glow tonic can be too intense every day.

I was interested in trying this product as a comparison to pixi glow and the benefits of retinol in this formula. The fragrance is light, slightly clinical and fades quickly. I didn’t suffer any adverse effects to my sensitive skin. What I did notice was that my skin had a new glow to it with an improvement to my slight pigmentation, but mostly I noticed the fine lines around my eyes also improved. I have nearly used all the bottle and will definitely repurchase. This has become part of my daily routine and will continue to use.
