Not as good as they used to be

Had two pairs of these, bought a few years ago, and they were brilliant - durable and a nice, neat fit. When I finally tore one of the pairs I replaced them, but the newer version isn’t so great. Fit is baggier, bottoms are wider and the material seems thinner. Have already split across the seat. Disappointing.

Would be excellent, but too long in the leg and a real so and so to alter. I did it because my husband loves them, but it wasn't easy the way they're constructed.
