Warm and fit
Very good quality fabric and warm. Nice cutting and size, fit perfectly for XS size without any needs for trimming to fit. It’s a bit expensive but it’s worth the price.

Side zip never a good idea!
Nice trousers but find a side zip is never a comfortable option - especially for older ladies! I would love Jaeger to have offered a front zipper to a pair of trousers that would match the super jacket - making a smart work suit.

Finally I found some smart trousers which fit like a glove! First ordered size 14 as recommended but they were too big around the hips and upper leg . Re-ordered same trousers in size 12 and they are a perfect fit! Looking forward to showing them off over Christmas with different tops.

Jaeger trousers are designed for tall women
My first problem was that I didn't know that M&S are sticking with the Jaeger sizing system - I'm size 10, which is Jaeger size 8. The first pair I ordered were size 10, and were not only too large (waist and hip) but at least 4 inches too long. I then ordered size 8 of the same type (again, far too long) and also the Ankle Grazers. These are the perfect length for me - I'm 5ft 3. I returned the full-length pair.

The description says they are soft and fully lined. They are neither. The wool is unpleasantly rough. I am not even sure it is wool because every fluff/dust sticks to it and they look untidy. The trousers are not lined, only the pockets are lined. All in all they are OK, but not worth the price

Well tailored black trousers. Lovely wool crepe fabric. Having the zip on the side is very flattering as it makes one’s stomach look flatter - more tailored trousers like these would be appreciated. I bought the petite version but they are almost full length on me (5’2”) which I prefer.

Finally I have found a pair of well cut trousers. Being short the ankle grazers are almost full length. The side zip and deep side pockets add to the traditional cut. One complaint and a serious oversight is that they are not lined. That causes some bunching over the lower leg. 4 stars therefore.

These trousers are very well made from quality fabric. The length is perfect for me, I’m 5’5” tall. They sit nicely on my waist and skim over my hips and thighs. I have purchased the matching jacket to make a very stylish suit. I wish that other colours were available
