Extra fine means thin!

I bought 2 v neck merino wool jumpers. They were described as “extra fine”, but I felt that they seemed too thin. The cuffs and waistband are smaller, and seem to curl up more as the weight isn’t there. I feel that the jumper could still be fine knit, in the sense of small stitching, but also that there could be some kind of weight of wool used to give it some body. I kept the red one and will wear it as a casual top but have returned the blue one. Compared to other merino wool jumpers they just seem too flimsy, which is disappointing.

I bought 2 of these jumpers in the pre Christmas sale - 1 each for myself and my MIL. I’m not sure if she has worn hers yet but mine has been comfortable and looking good. My only slight issue is that it’s off the shoulder so makes me look wider. That’s not a fault as such, just a style issue for me personally. That won’t stop me wearing it though. I like merino wool as it’s soft and thinner so it doesn’t make me overheat like other wools.

Lovely soft smooth merion woo. It is so hard to find a v neck jumper these days especially not too low necked, but this is perfect.Sizeaise, I don't like overly baggy tops but I a bit worried that size small might be too small, I am normally a 10. It is great fit and look forward to wearing it.
