Pure Cotton French Ruffle Embroidery Bedding Set

Really poor quality duvet cover - too large for my king size duvet and so there is lots of excess material which makes it look really baggy and saggy. The material is paper thin and interestingly, nowhere online or on the packaging does it state a thread count, probably because it’s less than 180! Lots of loose threads and didn’t come with any outer packaging, therefore meaning the duvet cover had lots of minor little scuffs and marks from storage in the warehouse. Looks really cheap but at this price you’re better off buying elsewhere from a budget shop. Really really dissapointed in M&S, seems quality is no longer their strong suit. Wish I’d read the other reviews prior to purchasing.

I don’t normally leave reviews, HOWEVER, I bought this duvet cover set purely for the zip closing, I’d bought another set previously from M&S and it was great quality and I wanted something same but different. This is the one I chose and it couldn’t have been more different, whilst still the same price the material was much thinner, the zip was great but that was all this duvet cover had going for it, after having it on my bed for only one night, lots of loose threads started to appear from the embellishments and then I noticed I hole pretty much right in the centre, not a cut or tear but like it was threadbare because the material was so thin! Thankfully I was able to return because of the hole, but if it was just the loose threads on their own, they wouldn’t have refunded me which after one nights use for the price it diabolical. This is the worst thing I’ve ever purchased from M&S. I’m surprised it made it to the shelves in the first place. Zero quality control on this one.

Similar to white company but 1/2 the price. Love the zip bottom. Much better than buttons

This bedding set is STUNNING! so pretty & washes incredibly well. I always like to iron bedding however this one you don’t need to! Well worth the money, I love it

I love this set. I love the fact that it’s 100% cotton and has a beautiful almost broderie anglais texture to it. It fits my duvet and pillows beautifully and is lovely to sleep in. I only scored it 4* as it’s nowhere near the quality of cotton I used to buy a few decades ago. I don’t know what’s happened but the cotton:see then was so much nicer and crisper. Having said that, this is a lovely set and as good as you’ll get for the price nowadays.

I was able to get in store to actually look at the design and feel the quality and it was exactly what I was looking for. Very pretty design and the fabric was lovely, not too crisp but with a softer feeling which I prefer. I washed it before use and I like to iron, but it would have been fine without ironing. Looks so pretty on my bed and I would definitely recommend.

Looked for bedding like this for quite some time and on receiving it I’m not disappointed, looks really vintage and good quality. Looks good with my toile accessories.
