I liked the colour (white with blue embroidery) on this top, but the length on me was unflattering. I wanted this to go with a blue/white flared skirt, but it looked silly coming so far down my hips. The material is quite thin, so you could clearly see the pattern under it and I really didn't think it looked good. It may have worked better with trousers, but I don't like wearing them in very hot weather and I still think it would have been too long. I don't have the figure or youth to wear the half tucked-in style as in the photo. The length has put me off ordering any other Nellie tees, which is a pity because some of the designs look interesting.

Summer skirts are mostly patterned this summer. Although I really like them finding a top that complements them has been a bit challenging. Rather than a plain tee shirt I wanted one with a a bit of detail. The embroidery on this Nelly Tee is perfect; subtle and classy. I like how it continues all around the neckline. I bought the white one with blue emboidery to suit 3 patterned skirts which have navy backgrounds. The fabric is light with a hint of texture. The short sleeve line will take it through to autumn.
