Better than expected! The straight hem gives it a smarter look than wearing a standard checked shirt. Fabric is good - not brushed cotton - and has a decent weight and texture. An excellent layering piece that the recipient immediately gave a favourable thumbs-up—very unusual for him. It hasn't been washed yet, so 4 stars.

I bought one of these last year, in a different colourway. I was very happy with it, so it seemed like a good idea to go for other colours. I wear a lot of blues, so this one seemed like a good fit, the blues in it should work well with blue shirts I already own. The cotton fabric looks heavier than it is, so should this overshirt will be good as a layer, when the weather cools down a little. Very happy with my purcase, which was delivered on time and in good order.

Not sure about it if I’m honest as it’s not what I expected for the price, I thought at least it would be lined. Having said that it fits well and it will coordinate with jeans, blue trousers or tan trousers. Still not decided if it’s a keeper.
