Yes, I recommend this
Best coat/mac I’ve had in years. Feels designer. I am 5ft 6in and it comes up big, but because of the pleat at the back was able downsized x 2 so the sleeve length is at my wrist. If you’re tall you might prefer to downsize x 1, so you get the full effect of the swing, which I miss.

Hepburn vibes - either one
This comes up big! I ordered three times to get the right size, but well worth the drama. It's a beauty. The fabric is a good thick cotton and the tiny black/navy/green check is versatile and very pretty. Nice lining and the buttons are properly finished. Press studs to the pockets are a great safety detail. The arms are on the long side, but I'm happy to leave them as they are or just tuck them in if too intrusive. The back pleat is a lovely detail and was the clincher for me. This one will last for years.

Sleeves too large
I love the green check BUT, the sleeves are simply too voluminous (and long) for my not very tall shape. Also the pleat at the back doesn't really sit very well. A shame as I welcome an input of coats that are not incredibly narrow at the hips but this just didn't really suit me.

Fabulous contemporary coat
Was looking for an oversize car coat to wear during the transition between autumn and winter and beyond. This Autograph one fits the bill with its subtle check and fabulous quality. Can’t wait to wear it with jeans, knits, dresses, layers, boots, trainers. Temperature taken off again but it will change soon enough.

Beautiful fabric

Fabric is beautiful quality, I still think it’s about £50 overpriced, it did not come in a box or any particularly different packaging from any other M&S product despite being top end. It’s very much a swing style cut and therefore feels massive on but the weight of the fabric make it hang well. Sleeves are slightly short for me but they are special ovoid shaped. Think the money is in the fabric which if you love it’s a beautiful coat and well worth the price - have seen similar designer for £400 - 800. I would have loved an inside pocket.

Great coat, shame about the packaging!
Lovely coat. Good quality, great fabric and a good length on me (5ft3). The sleeves were a bit voluminous but good for going over other winter clothing. So why then do M&S package up a £150 coat by rolling it in a ball with no tissue paper in a box with other ordered items. I had to iron it as it was cotton and I shouldn't have to do that for a coat of that price. Come on M&S, you can do better than this.

Fab coat

Love this coat. It is a great style and lightweight. So easy to wear for all modes of travel. It’s loose fitting so can layer up on particular cold days. Sleeves are quite long (but I don’t mind for the colder months). I would normally by petite but M&S don’t do such a range in Autograph. It would be great if you did.
