Powder Lite Hooded Puffer Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the coat, but the hip sizing isn’t right, or the coat length isn’t right. After studying all the sizing charts, measuring, and having 1 coat smaller and one coat larger, this coat should have been just right. It’s an active fit coat, but the size chart does not indicate whether the measurements are effected or not. This coat fit smaller than my first too-small coat. EXCEPT, if I hiked up the hip area closer to my waist—then it fit. I don’t quite think it’s supposed to work that way. So today I ordered my fourth coat, and am getting this one ready to send back. I ordered the men’s version of this coat. At least if this one doesn’t work out for me, if it’s big and I can’t take it in, my husband will have a new coat and I won’t have to do the whole return mess. But the coat is very nice. While trying it on, I got so warm. Probably because of the close fit. But WOW that reflective insulation WORKS very well that way. The sleeves were long, which I absolutely love! Lots of room in the upper arm. The hood, at first, looked like it was missing a couple inches from the top of my head. I had to lift the jacket while on, reposition it around my chest….then the hood covered all of my head. The fit is just not meant for me.

Nice lightweight, warm jacket. Love the Dark Stone color! This jacket runs small ... consider ordering a size larger than your normal. The Medium is a bit snug in the hip area compared to the rest of the jacket. On a positive note, the sleeves are a great length. For reference, my measurements are 34 x 29 x 38 with clothes on.

This jacket is going to be perfect for a Minnesota winter! It's lightweight, yet will be plenty warm with the reflective lining! I bought the "Nocturnal" color, and it is beautiful. Very happy with the fit and quality of this jacket.

I love this jacket. It’s water resistant and so warm! I live in Alaska where the weather is cold wet and windy and this jacket of perfect for me. I got a size medium at first and it was too big so I returned it and got a size small. The reviews said it runs small but it’s true to size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is made for people who are not muscular/curvy and of average height. I am short (5'1") and curvy so it bunches weirdly because the medium size jacket is too tight to stay around my bigger butt without riding up. However, sizing up does not make sense because it is already so loose around my waist/chest and fits my shoulds just fine. I had the older version of this jacket from around 5-8 years ago that had a interior zip pocket at the chest in a small size. I feel like the newer version of this jacket is longer? It is a warm, light, quality jacket. The sizing is not great for me and I am not the biggest fan of the newer version, though.

I normally wear XS, but Columbia size run smaller. I ordered S, fit really odd. The arms are so big, then tight at chest. I had S rain jacket and it was loose. Must be something is going with this design. Sorry, RETURN I love the material, lightweight and insulation quality

Sleeve are long but run small around waist. I would recommend change the sleeve length

I liked the color and how the fabric felt but the fit was very odd. Columbia jackets usually fit very well but something happened with the design on this one, almost like it was designed for men instead of women. Returned.

The jacket shrunk very badly after first wash. No longer wearable. It was great while new. Not worth the money. Definitely size up.

I am so very disappointed!! The jacket was so tight around the middle that I had to open the zipper pockets to zip it up. Such a beauty and great quality. Why not make more causal jackets with a regular fit? Not all of us are going down a ski slope! Also, offer the selection category that allows us to choose a search for Active Fit or Regular Fit. No more Active Fit jackets for me.

Please make this light weight style of jacket in plus size too

You must size up. Even one size up fits well around the chest, but sadly too small around the hips, so I can’t close it. Otherwise excellent quality.

After reading other reviews I decided to order one size larger which I was glad I did as on cooler days will be able to wear a thick sweater underneath. Only issue I note in the jacket is the sleeves are a bit long depending on your arm length. I am able to fold the extra length inside to complete the wearability of the jacket.

I bought the Small size, I was very worried about the fit after reading the reviews but I felt like the medium would be big, so I went with what I usually wear and what was suggested by the size guide and bought the small. It fits perfectly on me, I -however- do understand why sizing up might be a good idea for some people. The jacket fits perfectly but it is exactly the right fit around my hips (the bottom of the jacket) and I wouldn't have been able to close it if I was wider or fuller in the area at all -I'm not especially narrow when looked at it proportionally but I am not wide either- '. And if I were wider or fuller and I sized up, the rest of the jacket (around the breast and the arms) would have been very big. So I think people should consider sizing up if they are a bit wide or full around the hips (where the bottom of the jacket is).
