Poor choice, poor service
No, I don't recommend this
For use after surgery, sizes different from normal , fastening at front very poor, too difficult if you have had surgery. Too fiddly. I cut clasps off old bra and stitched it to front on either side and this was far easier to open and close.

I purchased a white bra after a fitting in the Exeter store. The lady who helped me was so kind and supportive. This bra is comfortable and supportive, the hooks are a little challenging to begin with. I also purchased a zip up sports bra that had good reviews for wearing post surgery for breast cancer. I wish the post surgery bra had been available in black as well but it never seems to be in stock. Please bear in mind these bras might need soaking prior to washing due to leaking from wounds. I ordered another white bra the morning after my operation for next day delivery once I knew the bra was comfortable and suitable. These bras will be worn for 6 weeks continuously post surgery so the fit is very important.

Not supportive

I found these bras unsupportive after breast surgery. Following advice from the breast care nurse I purchased my normal size, and nearly all of my other bras are from Marks and Spencers, however these were a poor fit all over. They were too loose on the shoulder and could not be adjusted enough to be supportive. I had to throw away and buy from elsewhere. I normally love bras from Marks and Spencers so was disappointed with these.

I purchased this style post surgery bra for post surgery and recovery after a fitting where the assistance did it up for me, alarm bells should of rung then. Clearly the person who designed this bra hasn’t had breast surgery! Trying to put it on and do it up with the fiddly fastenings is a challenge made more difficult with a sore, bruised, swollen breast, I have had to ask my husband for help. Ladies I would suggest you try putting if on and off a few times before you buy to see if you can not only managed the fastenings but see them! M&S bra designer can I suggest a chunky zip fastening, it would be so much easier.

Not for cardiac surgery

This bra might be ok following breast surgery. It was not good enough to follow cardiac surgery. The zip does not allow the top or bottom to be loosened or size adjusted. The bra even in 36c is not robust enough to support the breasts and take the strain off the sternum scar. M and S should clarify that this is ONLY a post mastectomy bra and NOT a post surgery bra. Open heart cardiac surgery is painful and it’s critical to have the best bra for 6 weeks nonstop use. . M and S should refer people to the British Heart Foundation rather than sell them this. All bra staff shoukd be thoroughly trained to say this.

I have 4 of these bras because I need to wear them 23 hours a day for 6 weeks post surgery. Comfortable and supportive. Easy to get on and off as they fasten at the front. I would be unable to use back fastening bras, so helpful. I don’t need the feature of pockets for prosthetics, but there are pockets for those who need them. Good fit

I bought 3 of these to wear post surgery. They are soft, comfortable and adjustable. 4 stars because the hooks at the front are tricky to do up and very difficult to undo. Which isn’t ideal with a sore wound nearby. Poppers might have been better. The Velcro on top is helpful.

I brought this bra to use after my operation. Wearing it 24/7 for 6 weeks so bought a few. Very comfy. If I have a slight issue it would be with the velcro which is a little tough to open sometimes. Overall a good purchase!
