This wine is light fruity and full of flavour. i would say it is one of the best red wines I have tasted and would recommend it. I would go so far as to say if you don't like this wine then you wont like any red wine.

We are big fans of wine from the Loire district of France. Samur is our special favourite. We are pleased that Marks and Spencer have chosen to stock this item and hope that this will continue. The wine is light but and the same time has deep rich friuty flavour with a slight touch of earthiness (not too much).A great balance of acidity and fruitiness. Thank you Marks !!

We first discovered Saumur Champigny when on holiday in France and have always enjoyed it. I spotted M&S had an offer with Plessis-Duval Saumur Champigny at £60 for 6 bottles and thought it was worth trying. - I'm pleased we did - so much so that having tried the first bottle I immediately ordered 12 more. The wine is light and fruity and I think it's ideal for a summer picnic. Unlike many red wines it can be served chilled and enjoyed by those who don't normally like red.
