Stunning skirt but the waist sizing is really mean

I adore this skirt but the sizing is off. I have lost weight and the last skirt I bought in the same size was hanging off me so I nearly sized down. Tried to put it on this morning for an important work event and couldn't even fasten it. (sad face) Dont know if I should return or try to lose more weight.

Smart warm skirt
As soon as I saw this I bought it for work attending meetings, bought the cardigan too. First skirt I sent back as stitching coming undone at bottom of zip. Second was fine, feels lovely and soft fabric , fits true to size - can’t wait to wear

I loved this skirt as soon as I saw it online and knew I had to have it. As am petite the standard size is perfect as I like it a little longer with boots. Great quality as you would expect with M&S. We do need a little more colour in your offerings however as everything seems very muted currently. Need more colour especially when summer disappears to brighten up our winter months.

Cool style awful sizing!
No, I don't recommend this
Love the style and the fabric but sizing is way off! The fabric has a good drape and swing to it and style looks like classic suiting with a twist . I’m 5’7”and shortest part of hem is just below my knee. I’m a M&S size 16… but with this skirt the 16 is more like a 14, 2-3 inches too small. Tried the 18 which is more like a size 20, 2-3 inches too big! I like it enough that I have kept the 18 and will get it altered, but I shouldn’t have to. I have compared the skirt to other M&S size 16 skirts and it is clearly much smaller.
