Palm Print 3/4 Sleeve Tunic Midi Dress

Hoped this would be a keeper, but not to be. Too dull and the fit was all wrong. Returned

This dress is lovely and just the dress on a very hot day.... as long as you don't wear the inner, thank goodness detachable liner. The outer part of the dress (although translucent and possibly not opaque enough for some people's modesty) is absolutely huge and roomy (what you need in summer) but the inner part was extremely tight and uncomfortable. I have kept the dress. I wear it with a belt so it doesn't look like a marquee on me and raises it a bit higher up the leg. Depending on the formality of the occasion I'll wear it with or without a slip of my own that's more the correct size.

But I couldn't tolerate the fabric. The under- slip was full of static and the dress itself (polyester) was clammy. Had it been in cotton it would have been terrific.

After reading previous varied reviews, I was torn between ordering my normal size 16 or downsizing to a 14. However I settled for the 16 & am very happy I did as I found it true to size. When I received the delivery, the packaging & presentation were impressive & the dress felt substantial with an elegant cream/beige pattern on a black background. I'm 5'4" so the length is more maxi than midi which I counted on since I like a longer dress. The fit is relaxed & gives a pleasingly svelte look which could take you from beach/casual day wear to evening cocktails matched with a great pair of earrings or layered up for cooler weather. It's very difficult to find figure-flattering loose fitting dresses but this manages to do just that. In short; this is the kind of dress you could take on a holiday or weekend away & never take off - a real wardrobe essential. Please stock more of these styles M&S.

I love loose dresses so when I saw this dress on line I ordered I read reviews and decided to go down a size I'm normally a size 14 but the 12 was a good fit .The down side to this dress is it has a separate slip lining that is a very tight fit luckily I have a full black slip I shall use when I wear this dress a little over priced but I just love it I am 5ft 7 and the lenth is perfect

I'm afraid that this dress, although fitting well and looking good, felt horrid to wear. The lining is man made fabric and clings tightly to your body under the dress, feeling very odd. When taking off the dress my hair went mad with the static.
