This drop-down bureau is constructed using sustainably sourced wood and features veneer tops of natural oak as well as a painted finish. For durability, a low-sheen lacquer has been added. Two retractile levers add support to the drop-down lid, concealing shelves of natural oak, drawers and a writing surface for extra convenience. I had been looking at a couple of similar bureau's but decided to go for the M&S one. I am so pleased I did. The quality is just fantastic, its a beautiful solid piece of furniture and the space it provides when you use the desk is excellent. The look and feel of the solid wood and colour finish elevate it above the other options considered. The end to end service was also really good, from ordering, confirming date for delivery, confirmation of my 2 hr slot and then final delivery. Well worth the money for quality and service.

It is so nice to have functional piece of furniture that is also very attractive. I had my eye on this bureau for around 12months and eventually bought in the sale after Christmas. I think at full price it is a little expensive as it’s not a massive writing desk. Nonetheless I was happy with the sale price and it looks wonderful in my multi functioning kitchen/ dining/ office /play room. Nice colour too. Goes well with my Magnet kitchen and oak block worktops.
