I’m confused how these shorts are highly rated. I was expecting the inner shorts to be a spandex/biker shorts like material, but they are a thin polyester like material. I wore the shorts on my run this morning and they kept riding up and were extremely uncomfortable. I realized towards the end of my run that they’re better worn lower on the waist, but they’re supposed to be high waisted. Even after lowering them on my waist, the shorts rode up. I wish I never took the tag off and spent my money else where. I was in such disbelief by the highly rated reviews that I double checked the serial number on the shorts, but I received the correct shorts.

Quality is subpar—seams coming apart after a couple washes

After a couple wears and washes (laid them out to dry) they are pilling a bit on the outside and then the seam on one leg of the shorts is coming completely apart. I literally have other shorts I’ve had for years and washed a hundred times that have held up. I’m extremely disappointed considering the price point of these shorts. Nike quality is a thumbs down in my eyes now and will purchase elsewhere

Pocket position could be better

Mostly great but the phone pocket is right at the bottom (by the hem) of the compression layer so your phone peeks out and bounces a bit compared to 2-layer shorts where the pocket hits mid-thigh.

These shorts are great for running depending on the color you purchase. I will never understand how I can buy the same size and style just different colors and they fit different. I wore one pair size medium they didn’t move during my runs so I bought a few more… 2 of the 4 pairs roll or ride up while I run. Makes no sense.

good quality shorts and comfortable. Pocket is a good size for iphones. However, the sizing runs slightly small so i'd size up if you're between sizes. The inner layer is also not the longest, so they are quite short (i'm only 5'7).

I first bought two pairs of these shorts in July 2024 and was very happy with the material and quality of the shorts. I purchased another paid in May 2026 and am so disappointed in the quality. The material feels much cheaper and not nearly as comfortable, especially the shorts underneath. Will not be purchasing any more of these shorts and will be looking elsewhere for my athletic shorts.

You may look at the photos and arrive at the conclusion that there is a pocket on both sides of the compression liner. You would be wrong. Boo. There is one decent sized pocket on one of the thighs. The internal key pocket is in sort of a weird place and is too big to hold a key. The key would just fall out. And the pocket on the back of the waistband is a weird size. I think it would hold a gel or maybe my pepper spray, but I'm not sure what else. Returning.

I absolutely love all Nike active wear and I really liked the look of these shorts for running so I purchased these. Unfortunately, the inner shorts rolled all the way up after only running for a few mins of my 4.5 mile run (I am training for a 10K.) and caused HORRIBLE chafing. For reference, I am 5’ 2”, pear-shaped, and weigh 132 lbs. I would love if Nike would design longer / anti-slip shorts that would be more functional for girls with thicker thighs.
