Moisture Surge™ Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 - Dark 40ml

I have only ever used Lancome (my daughter worked for them), Clarins or Clinique. Recently, I required some new foundation, and this was demonstrated to me. I had brought a sample of a BB cream with me, as a colour match, and the Clinique Representative, very kindly spent some time with me to obtain the right skin tone. She then applied the make-up, and I was impressed with the coverage, which was better than a standard tinted moisturiser/BB/CC cream. I also purchased the setting powder. The foundation was easy to apply, with my brush, and went on without streaks or patches. I was delighted with the results, and although I had decided to use it only at weekends, I've put it on for work this morning, and it looks great. It blended quickly, and feels light and silky smooth. I'm happy with the coverage, as I don't like anything that makes me look like I've trowelled it on!

I felt I had to write a review to balance all the negative ones! I was looking for a sheer everyday tinted moisturiser with SPF as my Even Better is great for special occasions but I don't want that look every day. My local Clinique counter recommended this one. It is perfect. It's light, moisturising and gives a lovely glow to my skin. The only negative I've found is that I cannot use moisture surge underneath it as it pills.

I love love love this product and have used it for 10+ yrs. Never been one for foundation. After moisturiser, this is my everyday go to. I apply a thin, even layer, just with my hands. It gives me the natural, smoothing coverage, making pores less visible and evens out my skin.

I was looking for a tinted moisturiser and the chat member of staff advised me to get this product. I didn't like it at all unfortunately. It has a strong chemical smell and actually felt drying rather than hydrating. I couldn't wait to take it off my face. I've used the Even Better foundation and the City Block spf25 for years but have noticed the last few products I've bought from Clinique including this one have this strong chemical smell that I can't tolerate, it's a headache/migraine trigger type smell and smells toxic. Overall, not recommended. Clinique, please design a tinted moisturiser that doesn't have a chemical smell, thank you.

Really disappointed- I had an in-store consultation where I was advised that the medium was the right shade for me. I bought it online due to the offers and now when tried at home it's too dark and I look orange! How can they get it so wrong?! The product itself is good, but it's useless as I can't use what I've bought now.

I recently purchased this foundation as I wanted something I could wear that gave me a natural look. I am so pleased with it, I am in my seventies and my skin tends to be dry this foundation gives me a lovely healthy glow . It works even better if you use a primer first.

Very easy to apply and does not feel dry or heavy. I am 47 and I don't like wearing foundation on a daily basis, this is perfect as it is light and gives me the perfect glow. I suffer from contact dermatitis and this moisturiser doesn't give me any allergies.

This is perfect for me. It is easy to apply, feels very light on my skin and makes my skin look very natural, but better. Excellent for my now slightly dry, 47 year old skin!

I have combination skin and don't like make up too thick. This is perfect. Goes on like a dream and lasts well. Doesn't feel heavy and has SPF25. I am mixed race and use universal medium.

I have never used any liquid cover on my face until this year, now I am forty something! I had to get used to this but now find it gives me a lovely cover with a dewy finish, which I was looking for. I put all my creams on first & then go make a coffee to let my skin settle. Then a dot/blob of Sheertint in universal light medium on forehead, cheeks, nose, above lip, chin & neck & blend all over face with fingertips. I have quite good skin so it gives a lovely, as it says, sheer cover, not heavy and with sun protection. I like it. I have always used almost powder make up in neutral 04 but I am enjoying this at the moment & find it stays on a bit better with having to wear a face mask all day at work. The little amount I use means it should last a good length of time too! Like it!!

This really is excellent. I was a little unsure about trying it as I am used to a full coverage foundation, but the even better refresh (as much as I still love it) was feeling a bit heavy for everyday wear and taking kids to the park! I also have very dry skin. This product is beautiful - it glides onto my skin, doesn't settle in dry patches, and still gives decent coverage and evens skin tone. The SPF is a bonus as I hate putting suncream on my face. I think this is my new everyday go to!

Wanted to love this product but very disappointed. I usually get cc cream but it was out of stock so went for this instead, i am aware formula is completely different. When I took it off at the end of the day my skin was very red on my cheeks and my skin felt sore. Disappointed as i loved the dewy finish but unfortunately doesnt seem to suit my skin.

I have struggled with so many different foundations always find even the lightest make my skin itch and go dry. Love the texture and lightness of this. Looks so natural like your own skin. It is sheer and adds a natural glow - I use the even better all over concealer for any areas that need coverage (under eye, nose). So hydrating! No itching. I used universal light.

Just bought this to try as I'm finding even better a bit to heavy for daily wear. I wish I hadn't wasted my money! This is terrible, too orange, no coverage at all and doesn't blend easily. Certainly doesn't blend into your skin tone as advertised. I've found streaks after applying thoroughly and it even makes the skin under my eyes look dry when it isn't. I've always used clinique foundations and used to love the original version of moisture surge tinted moisturiser/foundation. Shade 2 was perfect for my skin, it evened my complexion and stayed put all day, even in the pouting rain, without being obvious that I was wearing it. Don't understand why the original was discontinued. Please bring it back.
