Cook with M&S Recipe Box

This was bought as a present which was well received. However when ordered on line there was no area I could leave a message for the recipient which there is when ordering flowers.

Delivery had to be left outside but the packaging was brilliant. Was outside for an hour in hot weather. The contents surrounded in recyclable materials, freeze bags were still frozen. (I have reused these bags on picnics and they stay frozen a lot longer than other freezer packs. The food was high quality as usual. The recipes were easy to follow and were really enjoyable. Liked them because there was no waste, not bothered about figuring out what to do with left over bits. Will be looking out for different boxes in the future.

Arrived very chilled, really nice recipes and easy to follow, def buy again......BUT YOU HAVE STOPPED DOING THEM! ! So annoying, as only purchased once, andI wonder why you sent be an email to review this.......arghhh!

Disappointed with one of the recipes in particular as the potato didnt cook properly so spoilt all meal. Pork was best. Overall products seemed ok but recipes basic and not that tasty based on jars of sauce and didn’t have meal calorie count which would've been welcome. Don’t think I’d buy again I am afraid.

This arrived very fresh and was easy to cook. I like the fact that the recipe cards allow you to purchase and make the meals again individually if you would like. There was plenty of each ingredient. We enjoyed all of the meals and will be purchasing again.

Great food choices, great quick and easy recipes, great taste and alway great M&S quality. Everything about this is just great. I love it and I will certainly get again. It was also well ice packed so it will stay cold until you get home if you’re not in when the delivery arrives Will be nice to get this in veggie and fish recipes please M&S

Ordered the recipe box which was beautifully packed and all products first class. BUT the paella was just rice and prawns and the other finished meals only average. I would not want to make again.

Really enjoyed the paella and pork recipes. I would give these both five stars, Good quality ingredients and more than needed for the dishes. The pastes were delicious. Less sure about the chicken recipe. It might have been better to mix the ingredients to coat them rather than spread the paste. The result was a visually unappealing dish. Potatoes needed to be cut smaller as some were uncooked, Recipe needs to give temperatures for standard electric, fan and gas.

Ordered as a treat due to having to go back into shielding. Both my husband and I enjoyed all 3 meals which were delicious. There are also some surplus ingredients which are being used to make two more meals so overal, good value.

I am used to food boxes using another well known brand, these recipes are very simple with all the work done for you in the sauce jars. Personally I prefer doing everything from scratch with fresh herbs and separate spices. The one thing that is very good is the quantity and quality of the food, first class. the portions of each item is a full commercial pack not just enough for the meal as in other boxes. I would buy again if their are other recipes, though I think M&S are limited using their "cook with" jars so I will be back to my normal food box next week

I tried these meals as l was impressed with the reviews they had received. I have tried box meals before and although very good they have been fairly expensive. My hubby and l have both been delighted with all three of the meals. The amounts are very generous and l did not use all the vegetables provided in chicken curry (peppers) and the pork dish (onions/green beans). My favourite was the paella but they were all delicious. I hope M and S. offer more recipes in the future. Thank you

I thought this was a great idea and overall enjoyed cooking and eating the recipes. However there were a couple of issues - the pot of cream only had a thin plastic lid on it and they had split, leaving cream over various items. Secondly there were2 jars of the paste needs for the pork dish and the one for the paella dish was missing, which i didn't realise until I was about to cook with it. Overall a good idea and would like to see more options in the future - My only other comment would be that I would have preferred chicken breasts for the tikka, rather than thighs, but that's just personal preference, Had the cream been OK and the jars correct I would have given it 5 stas
