M&S Traditional Meals Food Box

As a single person this food box seemed ideal for me a different set meal For me over 10 days .not so delivered on the 25/8/20 but had to be used by 31/8/20 because of the food had to be used in 6 days I have given half away rather than use after sell by date.should mention use by date,on M&S web site

Extremely well packed with 5 frozen ice packs and additional thick soft padding. And all of the meals could be cooked within their 'Use By' dates with a little bit of wise selection. 2 of the meals 'Use By' dates were 9 days after the delivery date! Would definitely buy again.

The latest brilliant idea from M&S is a selection of themed food boxes. I thought I would try one, and save a shopping struggle in a week where hospital appointments had reduced available time. I was delighted with the contents of my box - eight varied and well cooked meals accompanied by four prepared vegetables. The packaging is excellent, and the food is kept super fresh for delivery by wonderful ice packs. These packs can then kept and utilised for picnics or other useful purposes. The meals require a minimum of cooking (microwave or oven). The vegetable packs serve two and the meals are labelled for one. My husband and I, with the reduced appetite of the elderly, usually found that a shared meal suited us. Either way, we found our box covered most of our meals for the week, and so delighted with results we have ordered again. We have to date had the Traditional Meals Box, but will now now hope to sample some of the other boxes - Indian, Fruit and Stock Essentials all look interesting. Even vegetarian and gluten free boxes are available for those who need them. So I can definitely recommend these boxes - no criticisms - except perhaps I wish they had been available months ago.

A real life saver for those in lockdown and now also a really convenient and time-saving idea for some tasty meals. Comes very well packaged, with good use by dates. The other useful feature is the stronger seal of the meals, to prevent spillage during transport. Recommended, thank you M&S!

arrived in good time on the day stated. Packed really well so arrived in perfect condition. some went in fridge which we enjoyed others. into freezer . I will be ordering again. May I add i am delighted to hear M&sS have signed up with Ocado so I will beable to shop for more food.

Bought this box to take on holiday to our self catering cottage. It was very useful, we had frozen the contents before we left, so we just defrosted when needed.. all the meals were good and easy to prepare.

Arrived all soaking with water. Meals horrible even cats would not eat chicken left. Very disappointed have had to throw most of them away

This has been a life saver to order for my mum who hadn’t been able to shop in lockdown, please continue!

This ood box is a triumph for M&S. The food quality is, of course, what one would expect from M&S and the variety is exactly what is says on the web page. The really amazing part is that the food arrives freasher and better chilled than any items purchased in any shop. The presentation is amazing! The care and design of the wrapping/insulatring materials is so efficient and effective - giving total confidence in the state of the meals. The receipt date and time was exactly as requested at the time of placing the order. Very well done M&S! This is way beyond expectation and so welome at a rather odd time in our lives. Cannot give too much praise. Thank you.

I ordered this for my elderly mother in law to help her during lockdown. It arrived at 18:50 yesterday 6 August as requested but most of the items had yesterday’s date on them! So by the time she gets to use them they’re already out of date. Not impressed at all. Will not be ordering again.

The 8 ready meals where received in perfect condition. not one of the ice packs had defrosted, I was amazed. BUT and that is a big but, truly most of the food went into the bin. I will definitely not order this particular food box again. I managed to eat half of the shepherds pie. the mash, carrot and peas in other meals were horrible as were the meals. I actually cannot comment on the fish, and two dumpling meals as truly I could not face them. Too used to home cooked I guess and these are definitely no substitute for my taste. I have had a lot of ready meals from M & S and thoroughly enjoyed them but this selection gets thumbs down..

Each dish was delicious but we would have liked them in 2 portion sizes so my husband I could have shred the same meal. We are both elderly pensioners and these nutritious, tasty meals were a real boon. So easy and convenient, the only difficulty was which to choose first!

Ordering these regularly for a parent self-isolating. Good nutritionally, nice assortment, and filling. Recommend.

Well packed arrived on time. Good dates on packs. Could be advantageous to include some vegetarian options, otherwise good tasty food.
