Thick fabric and good waistband

These are sized quite large. I bought size 18 and found the lower leg very loose although they fit well on the waist and hips. The fabric is thick and not that stretchy, so they don't look neat on the legs. I will keep them as they are cosy and I can wear tights under them for winter walking, but I am going to try the 16 in the hope they are neater on the calves.
