Maggie Ribbed Glass Floor Lamp

Living on my own i found it extremely difficult to put the lamp together It was difficult to get screws undone on the bottom plate The plate had not been put on straight and one screw was cross threaded making it difficult to take the plate off to pull the cords through..

Faulty item. The wires were crossed which prevented assembling the lamp. Returned immediately and requested refund.

This lamp was so tightly packaged , the diagrams insufficient and one of the most frustrating objects I have ever had to assemble. I am still unsure whether the poles are not supposed to be sloping but I am not going to take it to bits again! Not sure if was worth the price even in a sale. Based on this experience I would never buy a standard lamp from M and S again. The quality of the parts was good.

Putting it together was a challenge! One of the screws on the base didn't want to screw in, so had to improvise with strip of rubber glove to help it grip. One of the shade holder cylinders was a very tight fit and needed vaseline to screw it back in. 3 bulbs gave a very bright light which we didn't need, so bought 3 dimmable, colour changing lights. Very happy with the end result!

Loved this lamp and it looked good quality but the unit was wired incorrectly so the poles wouldn’t align. Had to return and was reluctant to reorder in case the next was the same.

Although a little fiddly in putting together some parts need excellent eyesight, once fully complete the Maggie Lamp is a lovely addition to my living room and provides good lighting to an otherwise dark corner.
