Lyocell Blend High Waisted Flared Jeans

I bought my first pair of these jeans in store: the style is good and the inside leg is a proper Regular 21" like all jeans used to be, and having worn them a few times, I decided to buy a second pair but on-line. Meanwhile however, I found: as usual, the high waist is too high, so much so that on some trousers you could almost tuck your boobs in! High waisted clothes always slide down to my natural waist on me, and bunch up at the crotch, looking like a mans' bulge as is evident in many of your model's photos. The knees have gone baggy. The fabric: cotton diluted with cheap viscose (Lyocel, Rayon, Modal etc, call it what you will) has 'pilled/bobbled' in the wash of the first pair, in a gentle wash at 30 degrees separate to other clothes. All for £55. Why can't you, M&S, make most jeans with a normal 10"/11" rise on the waist, and 21" Regular inside leg, that actually fit with consistency, like we were used to? Many post-menopausal women size 16+ have totally different body proportions to younger women.

Haven’t worn yet but they look great- maybe just a tiny bit big at front but not enough to worry about. Would love these in a dark brown too.

Really nice jeans. Great fit although a tad long even in short. I’m 5’3 for reference. However I’ve just put a quick stitch with my stitch gun at the back to lift it slightly and it works really well with boots with a little heel.

Bought a regular size 12. Way too long so ordered them in short. Way too short. I’m 5’4” and always a regular in their clothes but it wasn’t to be this time. Anyway I’ve ended up keeping the first ones and having to have them shortened as they then sold out!!! Lovely fit other than the length issue. Size down

I find it hard to believe how 3 pairs of trousers that have identical labels as in size and length can be so different. I ordered one pair of the indigo 8 short , they were perfect in the length but the waist felt like a size 6. I then ordered a size 10 short, one pair fitted like a size 12 the others were okay but far too long in leg and baggy at knees. In desperation I ordered two more size 8 short length, these were both enormous and far too long. I decided to keep the first pair even though they are snug on the waist. The managers at M&S do not hide the fact that they dislike people returning items but it’s hardly surprising that there are so many returns with this amount of inconsistency in the clothing . I have to say though , credit to Marks & Spencer for the modern, lovely styling in the women’s clothing range this year.

I already have these jeans in the indigo colour. They are very comfortable, great stretch and keep their shape.

These are really soft jeans in a lovely material which feels expensive.

Soft and very comfortable jeans. The stretch in these jeans gives that comfy feeling. I can wear them all day and feel great. I got the dark blue which I have dressed up, worn with trainers and heals.

I absolutely love these jeans, they are so comfortable to wear the denim is so soft. I would definitely buy again. I bought size 12 which is the first size 12’s I’ve managed to buy and wear for over 25 years 😊
