Linen Polka Dot Shift Dress

Ordered this as I currently own 3 other linen dresses. This is not in-store, online only. My size 10 was only available in "long" and boy on a 5ft 6" female it is SO long and very baggy. Cannot work out just what is different/wrong this time. Ordered another patterned dress in an ivory , floral pattern design and this is SO much better and I measured it against the other one and there is definitely a difference in the cut. I would not recommend the Dot dress but thumbs up to the other design

Heavy feel material. No where near the quality and style of beach dress bought last year

Have had this style before so was particularly disappointed to have to return it. Material was thin and the dress appeared shapeless. It was not at all flattering. Good fit, and good length. Colours rather dreary.

Poor quality and fit. M&S has deteriorated in all respects and I used to buy regularly but have not found anything to buy which fits or quality good for at least 5 years.

I was very disappointed with this dress as the fit was too big, especially around the top half. However I decided not to get a smaller size because the fabric was so floppy. Linen usually has some body to it but there was too much polyester in the mix. Pure linen is such a good fabric for summer and it lasts well - I would rather pay more for a better fabric. The colour and spot pattern were good but I'm afraid it had to go back.

Disappointing....as others had commented the arm holes were HUGE (yes, I did read what others had said but still thought I’d give it a go)...so I returned.

Liked look of this dress for holiday season but material was poor. Not M&S usual quality. Even 20% off didn’t make it any more appealing. Although nice cut material let this down.returned to store.

After reading the reviews I was concerned...however, yes not fabulous quality but for the money great, Fits well good length below the knee in the Long and I am 5ft 7 inches tall. I find a spray of starch has made all the difference to the fabric..I like it

Lovely for spring,summer. I ordered the long but it was still to short instead of a midi length. It covered my knee I am 5’4” I could have gone down a size. I ordered the 16 I wanted a loose fit and I am a 14/16. I think the material would crease and I’m not sure how it would wash.

Lovely but had to return it as the sleeves are too big. I am on the large side of size 10 but the gap at the sleeve holes are far too big and all of my bra is visible. This spoils a lovely dress.

I bought 2 of this style last year and although nice style and good price turned into rags after one wash, so disappointed! I thought Id try this years version. Just as bad, poor quality material , poor fit, and badly finished. I'll go to NEXT for this type of dress in future

Bought to wear on holiday as a pop in the case and throw on dress. It is perfect for this and not tight fitting, so in hot climates keeps you cool. It is a lightweight dress and does not crease as much as a full linen material. So a bonus as no iron needed.

This dress is quite large and long. I bought a size 14. I have had several M&S shift dresses in the past and sometimes I am a 14 sometimes a 16. It fits well on top but is about 2.5 inches too long. Fortunately I can sew and therefore just took up a complete hem. I haven't worn it yet so cannot comment on how it washes. It did iron well and the fabric is very soft.
