Pretty, though wish it had more of the translucent pieces. Also, the antlers are not perfect!! The smallest horn points practically fall out. They did not have proper joint pegs to keep them in place. So could easily lose them. Also the head pieces easily disconnected/broke apart while putting together despite only light pressure connecting them. Love the posable legs

It started off great! But was extremely difficult to build as ALLL the blocks are blue. I hate to be “that person” but i am starting to lose my liking for Lego. I became extremely addicted to Lego during lockdown. And have spent more money than I care to admit on Lego. Every year the sets seem to be getting more expensive and not as well thought out. I’ve seen people complain about the excessive amount of stickers - which truthfully I don’t mind. But I agree the price is extreme. This set only took me 2 hours. I mean without sounding rude, it’s just plastic?? Why is it so expensive. I know obviously some goes to the designer and brand deals etc. but it’s ridiculous. Not to mention the last few sets I’ve brought have all had at least 3 pieces missing. I’m sorry Lego I think this is the end.

Too much packaging

I love the way lego seperates and numbers the bags, it's very helpful to prevent too many parts on your counter. HOWEVER, the smaller bags inside the main bags makes no sense to me when you have to use all the parts together. Seems like a waste. Also note, this one is a mess if you want to start with the wolf. Has you opening all the bags before you even finish the first one. Im using the builder app instead of the booklet. Booklet says to open all bags to start, where the app says open 1, use 3 parts open next 2... ect. I would reccomended a large space if starting with the wolf instead of the stag.

This build was not only very fun to put together, but it's very nice looking. Definitely worth the money, and a beautiful set to build, and add to my collection. Highly recommend this to all the potter heads out there. Great Job, Lego! 10/10! (:

This was my first Lego set. My boyfriend got it for me for Christmas. I made the mistake of telling him that if I were to get into Lego I would start with a Harry Potter set. He took that information and ran with it. And I'm glad he did. He sat with me the whole time and helped me build because it was my first set which was so fun. It made for a great date night. Lego I guess you could say you got yourself a new Lego enthusiast. It was a little complicated in some parts but overall not too complicated for a beginner.

Magical designs, great displays

I fell in love with both designs. I agree with some other reviewers that I was deterred from building the wolf first because of opening all the bags. I built my original set as the stag/deer and enjoyed the look of it so much I purchased a second copy (at a discount) to also build the wolf I wanted. The amount of movement you can position the stag into on the stand is incredible! The trade-off is that the wolf has far less moveability and the stag can barely stand when taken off the base. The wolf can stand/sit nicely when removed from the base. I did alter my bases slightly as my display direction is going to be different than the instructions and I enjoyed being creative with the water and foliage. These are two magical animal builds that make an excellent display!

Loved this build, after looking at it for weeks, I finally succumbed, it’s good to build, with some unusual technics, well unusual for a newbie! Looks great on display.

Excellent, but flawed

This is an exciting and fun build! The steps are easy to follow and very clear. In terms of the stag, the design is great. Use of pieces is also remarkable. However, I did find the wolf build to be somewhat disappointing. You have to open all 8 bags of pieces at once to begin the build. This causes chaos in the workspace. Furthermore, there was a significant amount of unused pieces at the end that left me unsatisfied with the design.

Missing pieces

Overall it’s a cool concept, however I have one pretty upset daughter due to her set missing pieces. She is an avid Lego collector / builder whom loves Harry Potter and wolves. So this piece was the perfect Christmas present , or so I thought. She can’t complete her build without these pieces 😞

Perfect set for All

This was a wonderful build experience for me. I enjoyed the foliage underneath the stag on the base as well as the kinetic aspects of the leg and head movement. I have other Harry Potter sets (which I have equally enjoyed building) but I’m going to leave this build out in my home as decor. It’s actually a bit larger than I expected, which I really appreciate as well.

Amazingly detailed lego (wow!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We built this product together with my daughter (soon 10years old). We picked the wolf and need to say it was quite stressful to find correct parts when they were all around in 8 bags (if I understood correctly the deer would have been easier and more organized :D ). The building itself did go super well and even it took time, my daughter had plenty of playing breaks during it. Unfortunately it seems few pieces were missing in wolf, or of course can be we lost them during building, but we were able to use some other quite a similar parts and continue building. However long story short - The finished product is absolutely amazing <3

Disappointed

This is the first time I have been disappointed in a set. I bought two of these kits because I wanted to make both figures. I started with the deer which went okay. When I started on the wolf I couldn't follow the directions. I finally just gave up and put it away. I feel I just wasted my money on the second set. The instructions for the wolf figure made no sense.
