The shoes seemed great initially, they look very smart. They were difficult to break into but have eventually gave in after some painful blisters on my heels. Unfortunately, after wearing them to the office for just over a month they have now split between the shoe and the sole on the inner part of the shoe, which is rather disappointing and with the rainy weather coming up, they won’t be of much use and will probably end up in a bin. Save yourself £60 and buy a sturdier, better made pair. Giving 2 stars as they do look great, it’s a shame about a poor quality though.

I'm an American, and have bought and worn penny loafers all my life. There are several well-known brands of them, but frankly this new line from M&S is superb, and very good value - they could easily charge £100 for these, with their classic styling and quality.

Very pleased with the shoes which were purchased as dress shoes when we need to "dress up" on a cruise holiday. My only criticism is, it is taking time to fully break them in - its some time since I've had to do this but will persevere as they do look very smart.

Nice but blisters galore
Really nice looking shoes but have given me the worst blisters at the back of the shoe, really unforgiving, hoping the more I wear them they get better but I’m not full of confidence about it

Lovely shoes - I got these Men's shoes by accident as I was looking for loafers with Insolia soles. But I'm keeping them, they are much nicer than the ladies' version (more elegant lines) and more comfortable. One thing to note is that the burgundy is very dark and at first I thought they were black and was going to return them. It was only in strong light I saw they are not quite black, just a very dark burgundy.
