Disappointing quality
No, I don't recommend this
The first pair of these black sandals had to be returned as there was a tear in the leather. As they seemed so comfortable I ordered a second pair and returned the first. I was very disappointed to find that the stitching on the elastic gusset had come undone. These too will have to be returned. My local store does not stock my size and so I have to rely on online. I would like to spend my money with you M&S but you don't seem to want it! I doubt if I will go for the hat trick and won't be ordering them again.

Small and different
No, I don't recommend this
I bought these to replace last years ones that were looking a bit tatty. I bought same size 3 and they were too small. Took them back and reordered a 3.5, but these are totally different. No expansion gusset and band across foot much narrower.

i had these mules last year and they are so comfortable, however the pair that was sent via my online order were marked on both sides with a dirty brown colours, like the sun had faded them, they had clearly not be checked by the person who bagged them to send out to me, so i returned and got my money back, and have not ordered another pair.

Classics leather slides
I’d almost given up hope of finding black leather slides that had a normal sole, not a wedge or chunky platform. These were perfect - the leather upper is very soft and the concealed elastic at the sides makes movement easy. No breaking-in of new shoes required! Exactly what I was looking for. Well done M&S!

Ordered these in white, sadly they were marked and the leather on one had a noticeable rougher texture than the other. A replacement pair were issued but sadly they too were marked and one was whiter than the other! So disappointed as I actually loved the mules , so soft and comfortable but did not risk ordering a third pair. I recommend only buying in store so you can see what you’re buying. Both pairs have now been returned.

The pair I received had obviously already been worn as the white leather straps of both sandals were discoloured (on the edges) with what looked like fake tan, and both soles were dirty. Not impressed. Returned.

Strange shaped sole - narrow by the big toe but too big at the other side. Had to return.
