The leather is absolutely beautiful, a lovely silver colour with very soft sheen, not glittery or trashy. Very well made, good quality finishing (e.g. lining and zip). However it came up very small on the waist - I have 2 other leather skirts from M&S in the smae size (14) and this was considerably smaller than both the others. Therefore i would recommend it, but only if you size up. Also because it is leather, and therefore quite stiff, the a-line shape was quite sticky-outy. A pencil skirt in this leather would be absolutely gorgeous.

Had my eye on this skirt for a while and decided to order when 20%offer was running. Ordered to collect from store, went straight to try on and straight to tills for return and refund. Quality and colour of leather is beautiful but that's where it stopped. Shape of skirt was quite frumpy and would have benefited from less panels at sides, felt like a lamp shade. Such a shame as the quality and colour were first class style was zero. Two stars, one for quality and one for colour

The skirt is grey, not silver. It is also much fuller than A-line (more than halfway to a skater style) so completely misses this season's 70s vibe. The photo is misleading - look at the black version for a better idea. A little too long for that, also. Not what i was looking for, but if a fullish, over the knee leather skirt is what you want, it is well made and a bargain at the moment.

I love it! I'd been a bit dubious as the reviews were pretty mixed but, with the 20% discount offer, I decided to give the silver version a try. I think it's beautiful - soft leather with a slightly sheen to it. I'm only 5tt 2 ins so had been a bit concerned as to whether it may be too long and unflattering but it's knee length on me. Contrary to some postings about the leather being stiff or the a-line being cut too wide, mine is soft leather and so sits well. I'm tempted to get another one for spare as I really do love it so much! It's certainly good value with the 20% discount offered a few weeks ago but I'd pay full price for it.

I am very disappointed in this skirt. The colour is great, the quality of the leather is great, but the skirt does not hang well, also it seems to be a bit too long. Sadly will be returning it.

I originally saw this is a store - I liked the shape, but the thing I liked best was the lovely soft leather. I bought my normal size (12) but when I tried it on at home it looked a little odd as it stuck out where it stopped at my knees. It was a close fit around the waist, so I thought that maybe a bigger size would sit lower and therefore be and inch or two longer and hang better. I ordered a 14 on line and am very disappointed to say that it feels like cardboard compared to the 12. I appreciate that these are natural materials and that some variations are to be expected, but I made the original purchase specifically because I liked the quality of the leather - I would never have bought the on-line one had I seen it first. Now I have to take both back.

I was really looking forward to getting this skirt but was disappointed when it arrived. On the positive side the quality is very good for the price and it is a good length but it is just too A-line in that it really juts out from the hips so made me look much larger than I am. It feels that there is just too much skirt/leather and I dont think buying a smaller size will help as the fit around the waist was comfortable. It might soften after a few wears but I wasnt prepared to take the risk so returned it.

I was disappointed with the skirt when it arrived. I did not even remove it from the hanger when I saw the 'obvious' zip. I understand that this is a fashion statement of today, however, in my opinion cheapened the shirt. So back it went! The Skirt was a True Black & well made despite the awful back zip 'feature'.

This is a fab skirt. It's a great fit and the style is very flattering. I am of an age where leather skirts are really for the young . However I can get away with this without the phrase 'mutton dressed as lamb' being whispered! The colour is unusual and a refreshing alternative to the usual black or brown. It can be dressed up for the evening with high heels and slinky top- with lots of glittering accessories or dressed down for a more casual look. I love it and hope I don't bump into any one else wearing it. It does look rather expensive and designerish....but with a reasonable price tag!

I am so delighted with this skirt.. I love leather and this feels and looks great..and it was a bargain when on offer! I am over six foot tall so was worried the length would be wrong but it sits very nicely just on my knee and looks great with thick tights,boots and a fitted top I am looking forward to the weather cooling down to wear it... roll on Autumn

This skirt is very nice, fits true to size, I'm a pear shape and the fit is very flattering. Quality is very good too. I got the grey one and my only concern is it has a slight sheen in it so I'm not sure if I can have it for everyday wear, otherwise beautiful.

A line in all directions

So disappointed with this. Tried both 10 & 12 but the leather, although it appears soft, sticks out at the sides and back and front, so the A shape is visible on all sides. More like a pyramid. Had it not been so mis-sharpen, it would have scored highly on quality of leather and value for money

Saw this skirt and was impressed. Difficult to choose size as two horizontal as well as vertical seams made the skirt hang with little bulges. The type of material from which the skirt is made is difficult to put together. Having tried two sizes it is better not to have it tight. As with all leather product, hopefully it can only get better when it is worn.
