Leather Panel Detail A-Line Skirt

Utterly gorgeous skirt, very good quality, fits like a dream and a wonderful length. Very expensive, but worth it as it's so wearable.

Beautiful no other word for it, excellent quality, good fit lovely colour. Now can we have it in black please.

Whisper it quickly - this is the fifth leather skirt I have bought from M & S so you can tell I am a fan. This skirt is made of lovely soft leather in a slightly unusual dark burgundy colour which is not a colour I usually wear so I thought I would try something different for the winter. I am 5'8" but this is definitely not for the smaller lady as it is very long. I am happy with the style especially the plain panel over the stomach but would love to have seen it with side pockets. My skirt is lined unlike the description on line and has just the right amount of material - not bulky round the hips. I find M & S do leather skirts very well and am delighted to add this to my wardrobe.

I am 5' 4" tall and a standard size 12. I usually downsize in Autograph because it is a generous fitting label. There were no 10's available, so I sent for an 8. It was a little tight on the waist, but otherwise good for my frame and height. It finishes lower calf, and looks best with heels. I agree with the previous reviewer that the leather is soft and beautiful to wear. The colour is hard to describe. I agree it's not a shiny chestnut as the picture might suggest, but a muted wine colour with a more brownish tone than red. Lovely skirt..... expensive!!!! ( the other leather skirts use more leather and have more detail, so this could have been cheaper ) However this style is much better if you are shorter, but you do need to probably downsize.

I saw this in a magazine and really wanted it so was over the moon when it came online. I am a 14 normally but in M&S I tend to be a size 13, so I ordered a 12 and a 14 to see which fit me best. I tried the 12 on and actually couldn't get it over my hips but knew it would fit as I have a slim waist, so I put it on over my head which worked. It fit lovely but made the skirt shorter. The 14 hung on my hips but I liked how it was longer so I'm keeping the 14. So I'd agree it's true to your normal size. It is 85cm long and it is fully lined as the website says both lined and unlined which is confusing. The colour is darker than the pictures. They look a browny chestnut colour but it's a lovely deep dark burgundy and everso soft. It only flares out as it graduates out in an A line at the hips so isn't bulky at the waist and you can wear a fine knit and you don't see the waistline through with there being no bulk. Goes great with creams and greys so a good all rounder and a definite buy to glam up or wear dressed down with flat boots and a jumper! Treat yourself before they go!
