What’s the difference between perfume and eau de toilette?

An eau de toilette is essentially a diluted form of the perfume. So an eau de parfum has a higher concentration of fragrance oils in it, making it the more luxurious choice. The scent is known to last longer and have a richer fragrance. An eau de toilette is more diluted, so it has a lighter aroma that doesn’t linger as long as perfume.

How do I make my perfume last longer?

A few ways are thought to make your perfume last longer. Spritz your perfume onto your pulse points, which are warmer areas of your body such as the inner wrists, and this heat helps to intensify the smell. Layering your perfume is also known to help – you can do this by adding the fragrance to your body lotion.

How should I wear perfume?

Spray your perfume on your pulse points like your inner wrists, behind your ears and the inner elbow from between six and eight inches away. These spots are warmer and the heat is known to intensify the aroma. Don’t rub your perfume in, and instead let it gently absorb into your skin. You can also add your fragrance to your moisturiser for an extra layer of scent.

How many sprays of perfume should I use?

This can depend on whether you’re using an eau de toilette or an eau de parfum, and the level of intensity you want. With an eau de parfum, a couple of spritzes should be fine, and with the eau de toilette, you can apply a few more.
