Stylish, classic, lovely shoes that seems to be well made and great value. Sadly it's pretty much impossible to get the strap through the buckle. You really have to force it through. There's no way, even on the mornings where things aren't chaos, that my daughter (or even my partner) could get these done up. Such a shame because they are lovely. Ended up getting others from M&S that we liked less :(

Worst school shoe ever ...

I gave in and bought these because Clarks don't sell a patent shoe with a buckle in my daughter's size, so thought I'd be safe with Marks for quality etc. These cost me £24 and my daughter got about 2 months out of them before the buckle broke and the patent started coming off. Last time I ever buy school shoes from Marks. Stick with Clarks !!!!

These are lovely shoes and my daughter picked them for school. However, the buckle is so difficult to fasten. The strap can hardly get through the flower shaped and very difficult for my daughter to unfasten and fasten at school. Would have been better with a velcro strap or a bigger buckle.

This is the second pair of school shoes from Marks and Spencer's that have not lasted longer than a week. On receiving these shoes via internet, the stitching on the T-bar was already frayed. Over the course of two days they looked worn and shabby, the leather upper creased and more stitching became frayed. Returned on day 3. Definitely not worth the money

Gorgeous shoes BUT difficult buckle

My daughter loves these shoes. The cut out pattern allows more air into the shoe, perfect for the warmer months. Very pretty and fit her well BUT it is extremely difficult to feed the strap through the buckle. Two things would improve this - 1) strengthen the tip of the strap to make it firmer and therefore easier to feed through the buckle, and 2) make the pretty flower shaped buckle larger.

I've started buying the M&S school shoes for my daughter as I couldn't afford the prices Clarks charge anymore I bought these with 20% off so they were a bargain at around £19 for leather shoes, the fit is good, the quality is excellent. The only downside is the buckle, because its a flower shape its really awkward to push the strap though, also the 'tack' of the patent leather makes it even harder, it means i have to fasten my daughter's shoes every time which is a pain and the patent has rubbed off. But I'll never go back to Clarks now!

Bought these for my 6 year old daughter. I love these shoes, really practical, they haven't scuffed at all and still look brand new. They are very pretty and delicate, my daughter says they are very comfortable. These shoes are also a lot cheaper than other brand shoes, great value for the money. Highly recommended.
