Velcro only just fits wide or high instep

Very light soft trainer. Bought for a 10 wide foot and just enough Velcro to go across. I wish kids shoes had longer Velcro on them. The whole point of Velcro is so it’s adjustable for width. Unless you get actual wide Velcro shoes the Velcro is always a tad short for either wide or high insteps. Trainers are usually wide enough in the foot but the Velcro is always lacking. Someone needs to address this issue apart from Clarks! You can see from the picture the trainers could afford more Velcro width!
