Excellent jacket

My son loves this jacket. It fits perfect and he loves the sleeves, they apparently fit snuggly whilst the outer part of the coat remains normal! It means he can stay warm and it deflects the rain etc from getting under his sleeves.

Great coat

Its better actually than it looks online, grandson age almost 9 years, and average size, needed a 10 to 11 size, so they are on the small size.

Trendy & Practical.. Love it
Yes, I recommend this
This was a good fit, has a few little pockets which my son loves. It’s quite lightweight but has a soft lining and is still surprisingly warm. The zip seals with a waterproof rubber coating as it closes which I thought was great. Looks really trendy.

Lovely yellow jacket
Yes, I recommend this
A really nice waterproof jacket in a lovely sunny colour. Ordered 2 sizes to try for a small 7 year old but still kept the 8-9 size in preference to the 7-8. Wearer delighted which is what matters. Not tried washing as it's new

Super Boys’ Jacket
Yes, I recommend this
Great boys’ school jacket! Stylish design with reflective detail. Light fleece section for upper body and perfect for Spring and Autumn wear. Easy, secure zip and hard wearing fabric. I bought similar design a year and a half ago and the only reason for replacing it’s now too small, it looks hardly worn! Washes perfectly and dries quickly.

Lightweight coat
Yes, I recommend this
Bought as replacement for son. Would not recommend as a winter coat unless they’re wearing something thick and warmer underneath as it’s not the warmest coat. Great for wearing over a school blazer though

Another fab coat!

[Employee of marksandspencer-en_gb] Really like this coat, got the Ochre coloured one. My son also loves it. He is very big for his age so have to order bigger sizes anyway for him. Comfy on the inside, loads of pockets, hood fits well, all in all very happy with this coat.

grandson's jacket
Yes, I recommend this
Very good rainproof jacket. Pros - Grandson liked design, not too bulky and very comfortable. Stylish, practical and good value for money. Cons -Could have been a bit more room for growth - needed to buy 10 - 11 for my nearly 9 year old. Zip doesn't look or feel very robust.

Poor quality
No, I don't recommend this
Really disappointed as my Son has had this jacket for just under 2 months and one of the pockets has lifted right off the coat. It will be being returned this week. Very disappointed with the quality M&S this isn’t the first problem I’ve had with clothing quality recently.

Poor Quality Zip
No, I don't recommend this
It's such a lovely coat and my son really likes it too. He likes the fact that it has a zip pocket and I like the fleece lining and reflective strips. It's a good fit and true to size. Unfortunately, it's such a shame that the coat is let down by the quality of the main zip being so poor. My son has only been wearing this coat for a few weeks and the zip is already bent in two places, meaning it's difficult for him to zip and unzip his coat. He's not heavy-handed at all with his clothes, but the zip is quite fine and thin and obviously is not able to take standard wear and tear of a child using it. I can't see the coat lasting too much longer before the zip gets completely stuck and he's not able to use the coat any more. For the price of the coat, I would have expected a far better quality zip.

Ideal school jacket.
Yes, I recommend this
At his secondary school, my grandson has to carry any coat around with him all day, but this jacket folds up small enough to go into his school bag alongside his books etc. It seems windproof and the lightweight lining is warm. It is a good length and dips at the back to cover his backside keeping him drier. For those walking to school the reflective details are superb. He likes the style.

Bought for my granddaughter as although advertised as a boys coat she loves it. Fits well and colour and reflective trim are great for dark nights coming home from school.

Great lightweight school coat.
Yes, I recommend this
This coat is just right for school all year round as it's water-repellent, lightweight and has a fleece lining to add some warmth. I purchased age 14-15 for my 12yr old son who is taller than average but slim. This gives enough room for it to be worn over a blazer. So far it has held up well in the rain and my son likes the zip pocket on the front. I appreciate the reflective strips that provide visibility on the darker days.

Grandson's raincoat.

My grandchildren have a selection of sizes in this garment. We bought the first one when this little chap was two, and they have passed to his younger sisters without any signs of deterioration. Plus point, it shows up on badly lit roads when they walk to school ( yes, some children still do that....). Minus point, the sizing, We had to go for this one as the 5-6 was too small. This is a 7-8, consequently enormous, but I'm sure he'll grow. How about a 6-7?

Raincoat for a teen
Yes, I recommend this
Given the strictness of my son's school dress code this was about the only coat I could find that fit the criteria by being all black and having no logos. Its hard to determine the fit of this coat as my son is very slim but it fits over his school blazer nicely. It appears well made but time will tell. It could have done with being a bit longer in the body. I find most modern coats very short on the body so that they don't cover the bottom removing the point of wearing a rain coat in the rain to keep them dry.
