Great reliable jeans , very stretchy so you might want to go down a size but great if you are ‘in between’ sizes . I wished M&S would start reintroducing the normal bottom hem finish instead of the frayed ones sold now as that’s becoming a bit boring and I’m forever cutting those frays down as it looks very tatty after a wash. Having said that , this shape is still my go-to as the popular barrel leg one is a bit too much for me .

They are definitely high waisted and very comfortable. I didn't like the raw edge turn ups so snipped the holding stitch and hemmed them. Within half an hour I had proper ankle length jeans. They wash and wear well.
