[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brilliant comfortable running shoes. Was looking to replace falling apart ones and they don't seem exactly the same. GT 1000 but not sure what number. Always struggle to find replacement. But can't complain they have got me out again and comfy.

Blisters and thin sole
Originally posted on asics.co.uk
No, I don't recommend this
These felt comfy when I tried them on but after the first wear I had a blister on the ball of my foot and another on the side of my heel. I could feel the ground through the sole. Not good for me at all. I thought I'd try them as a lighter walking/light running shoe for summer but will stick with Merrell and Hoka. Waste of money as I can't wear them again. More of a fashion trainer, my mistake as I thought this was a genuine sports brand. You live and learn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't realise I'd been wearing the wrong shoes for so long, until I bought these. They've been a game changer for me. I can walk now with no pain in my feet and legs. They are super comfortable (I have wide feet too!) and look good. Even my teenager is impressed with the look!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the previous generations of GT1000 and they are always so comfortable, after two years of long runs it was time for a new pair and these haven’t disappointed- lightweight, cushioned, snug!

Good lightweight trainers for overpronators

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great trainers, lightweight and although I can’t feel the difference when I’m running (I.e. it doesn’t feel painfully forced) my partner reports that my knees are visibly falling in less when running (or in his words “you’re running less dodgy, more straight”). Apparently I’m a massive overpronator to the extent that I full on terrified a personal trainer when they saw me attempt a squat at the gym and the knees went in. Calves are unusually a bit tight at the moment (albeit having tried changing trainers I don’t think this is these trainers fault) and a little bit of shin pain when starting running but these certainly don’t seem to make it worse. The toe box material does seem quite thin (albeit very breathable which I guess is the trade off) so questioning how many miles these will hold up, but so far so good. Personal preference would be to get a stronger toe box and trade of the breathability as I’ve worn through on a different trainer before.
